Roxa and Emanuel’s Sahara Desert wedding was planned in one short month and it was an absolute dream. Roxa wore a flowy Cristina Matei wedding dress that was perfect for frolicking through the desert for their relaxed and fun elopement. After Roxa and Emanuel exchanged private vows in the dunes, they explored the vast land with some camels in tow in true desert fashion. With Radu Benjamin Photography being there from Roxa and Emanuel getting ready together that morning to a romantic campfire at night, he captured all of the special moments both big and small.

The most memorable moment is when we got on the camels and started going to the dunes where we had the ceremony. That was the moment when we realized that our plans and dreams were suddenly becoming a reality.

We made it so simple that it became unique – in the middle of dunes of Sahara, on a Moroccan carpet. wedding rings on a plate full of sand.

We sent postcards personalized with our picture from the wedding.

Groom: I wanted to wear the colors of the desert and to be very comfy. I made my own vest without buttons and attached on my shirt’s sleeve a traditional symbol from the region I was born in Romania.
Bride: I made a simple and boho lace dress with a traditional custom made symbol from the region I was born in Romania, attached on my shoulder.

After the ceremony and photo session, people of the desert (Berbers) sang us drum traditional songs around a campfire.
