This Moody Maine Coast Wedding Inspiration is Deliciously Cozy in Warm Neutral Tones

February 2, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

This Maine Coast wedding inspiration from Jamie Mercurio Photography highlighted the very best of autumnal beach vibes! Good Look’n Events & Styling used rustic chic decor, a muted and neutral color palette, and earthy details for the sweetheart and dessert tables, and A Floral Thing added locally foraged branches, grasses, and blooms to round out the moody look. From the open field to the waterfront, this wedding inspiration was all about simplicity and being one with nature. We also can’t get enough of the bride’s beachy-chic style that included a modern Leanne Marshall gown and an oversized sweater, a loose braid tied with a silk ribbon, and natural makeup.

From the photographer: I’ve always wanted to create an editorial shoot that was inspired by the work of realist painter Andrew Wyeth who spent much of his life painting and living life on the coast of Maine. His moody artwork – specifically the painting Christina’s World was the main inspiration for the shoot – with its long yellow-green grass and dreamy aesthetic. I wanted to make this shoot happen during autumn in Maine when the grass and flora have browned but still maintain so much beauty.
