Dusty Rose and Burgundy Byron Bay Wedding at Ewingsdale Hall

January 19, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Ebonie and Blair’s wedding at Ewingsdale Hall was everything we love about bohemian weddings and more! With the help of Frank and Joy Events and Wedding Flowers by Julia Rose, this free-spirited couple created a campy outdoor celebration that included a ceremony under giant fig trees and a reception under the stars, accented with moroccan-inspired decor, a giant tipi, and cafe lights strung between trees. They chose a moody color palette of reds, pinks, and browns for the bridemaids’ Show Me Your Mumu dresses and the florals to balance the natural greenery, all of which set a wildly romantic vibe. The cherry on top of this bohemian-inspired dream was the bride’s stunning backless Grace Loves Lace wedding dress, which she paired with natural makeup and loose waves. We’re in love with every moment of this wedding thanks to the talented Andrew Sun Photography who captured it all in brilliant detail.

I was going for a relaxed bohemian look but still wanted to feel dressed up and elegant. I wore The Ince by Grace Loves Lace, which is the most flattering and comfortable gown. I loved the sleeves and the back and the fact that it’s made from elastic lace. I felt like a queen in it and could still move around and dance!

We loved the giant trees and big open space. It was a great price and we had it hired for the whole weekend.
It was a blank canvas we got to set up however we liked.

Bohemian Luxe California Wedding at Casino San Clemente

January 18, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

In true California fashion, Casino San Clemente was the perfect place for Annie and Ralph’s boho glam wedding. The outdoor ceremony space is an absolute dream with the ceremony alter covered in rich greenery and large blooms thanks to Peach Florals. The floral arrangements continue on into the lovely reception space. We are loving the seating assignment sign created by Lindsay Shannon Calligraphy and Design and how it reminds us of our smart phones with our favorite apps and emojis! Sweet Emma Lou turned Annie and Ralph’s cake into a piece of art that’s almost too beautiful to eat…almost. Victoria Gold Photography captured all of these glorious details and more!

I wanted a classic/vintage look and that’s why I chose the dress that I did with the red lip. The lace was very defined and showed up nicely against the champagne colored under lay of the dress. The back was very low cut and was my absolute favorite part.

Something that surprised me the day-of was the effectiveness of the “first look”. Ralph and I were initially hesitant about this idea because we did not want to spoil seeing each other beforehand but I could not be more happy that we did it! It was the most intimate part of the entire day and was just so special. We each wrote each other a letter in place of reading our own vows at the ceremony. This moment of sitting on the steps reading these word to one another will forever be embedded in my heart as it was just so intimate and beautiful. It was all very privately captured by our photography team and something that I will cherish forever.

The last couple weeks of planning are jam packed with little things that you don’t really think about prior so make sure to leave time for these things to get done by planning all the big stuff ahead of time. A wedding planner is a HUGE help and stress reliever. I mean, come on.. they do this stuff every day!

Our photographer, Victoria, is absolutely amazing. She is fun, loving and professional. She kept us all calm, in good spirits and on schedule. We have so many beautiful photos from our day, I just cant say enough good things about her.

We made a geometrical wooden backdrop to sit behind our sweetheart table to add some definition and detail to a white wall. It turned our beautifully and was decorated with candles and some small floral detail. My family is in construction and is very crafty so we made it out of scrap wood that we had at our office. We also made our table numbers out of wood, acrylic and a Cricut (life saver!). Our welcome sign also was made of a piece of wood and vinyl cut outs from the Cricut.

DJ Griff kept everyone fully entertained and has a passion for his work in DJ and music. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a DJ as he is affordable, very helpful and enthusiastic about his work.

Kwaaymii Point Elopement in the California Sunset

January 17, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

This moody romantic Kwaaymii Point elopement will give you chills with how sweet and moving it is. Sherin and Brian shared a first look overlooking the California mountains, and continued with an intimate ceremony with just the two of them and their officiant, Eric Beeman. We are loving Sherin’s boho bridal look complete with a casual lace Honey Punch dress from Boom Boom Brazil and a colorful flower crown and bouquet from The Flower Method. The warm pink tones of the florals pop against the green and red hues of the nature surrounding them. Sherin and Brian’s elopement was pretty picture perfect, including a rainbow that popped out towards the end of the day. Photographer Randi Kreckman and videographer Audrey Alba Films worked side-by-side to capture all the romance and moody vibes from Sherin and Brian’s elopement.

The best advice we received was to have each partner pick the two things that are most important to him/her and verbally say them out loud to one another. That way the most important expectations are voiced. After that, anything that wasn’t important kind of just faded away pretty quickly and we were able to focus on getting the few details that mattered right.

The whole elopement was really built around the private ceremony in a very intimate setting with just us and the videographer, photographer, florist, and pastor. It was so personal to be able to read our vows to one another in the outdoors with nobody else around.

After we decided to elope what was most important to us was just selecting cool people to work with that understood our vision and could kind of just run with it from there. The video and staying on budget was what Brian really wanted to come out well and Sherin really cared about the pictures and florals.

Our videographer, Jason, actually picked out our venue spot for us. We just knew we wanted somewhere with a mountains vibe in San Diego county. Kwaaymii Point turned out awesome and exactly what we were envisioning.

Randi Kreckman was just so nice and great through the whole process all the way back to our first meeting with her. Day of she just let us be laid back while capturing everything.

One word that would describe the whole day is smooth. The sunset kiss and reading our vows were memorable, but what we’re both the most thankful for is how smooth the overall day went. Everyone on our small team played off each other with creative ideas, nothing happened too fast or too late, and the whole day was just so spontaneously awesome.
