This Somerley House Wedding in New South Wales is Full of Dreamy Forest Vibes

September 15, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Erin and Aidan celebrated their everlasting love surrounded by an enchanting forest at the elegant Somerley House garden venue in New South Wales. Get ready, because this day is something straight out of a fairytale! We’re absolutely smitten with Erin’s eclectic style – especially her botanical braid created by Belinda Vangelov and handmade, astral-inspired dress that fit her like a glove. Olguin Photography perfectly documented the couple’s emotional ceremony under the canopy of the Somerley House forest, dreamy florals by Wild Iris Floral Design, and romantic portrait session that ended under a full moon. We hope you enjoy swooning over this day as much as we did!

The Couple:

Erin & Aidan

The Wedding:

Somerley House, Sutton Forest, New South Wales

Our most important factor in planning was to remember why we were doing this – it is so easy to get caught up in all the small things along the way that you lose sight of the end. Our wedding day was our chance to share the love we have for each other in front of our loved ones.

From the groom: Every time I think back to that wonderful day I can see Erin‘s smile – I have never seen her happier, I have never seen her more at peace and at one with her world and me.

I love remembering him holding my hands as we stood in a circle after the ceremony and having all of our guests surround us in a “circle of love” that our celebrant suggested we did. It was to have everyone we care about become connected through a soft touch on a shoulder and then us in the centre of all that love, it felt amazing to have everyone we love so close.

I absolutely loved having time to have photos taken. Alex and the boys from Two Folk Films made it so so much fun, joking around, running through fields to get the best light, helping to look when I dropped an earring whilst running through a field. We just kept going, it was an amazing time, so personal and special, at times I forgot they were there and just enjoyed the moment with Aidan. I have never felt closer to Aidan than at that time.

I asked my dressmaker to incorporate stars and moons into the dress, which she did so well. The sleeves were so much fun when twirling around and dancing, even when they landed on my face when Aidan tried to twirl me around.

The Cave Reception in This Napa Wedding at The Meritage Resort and Spa is All Kinds of Glamorous

September 15, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Bailey and Sam’s intimate wedding reception happened in a cave at The Meritage Resort and Spa, y’all! And while we’re quite obsessed with that fact alone, their entire day makes us smile those giddy, just-got-married smiles. Let’s start with Bailey — who looked absolutely flawless in her timeless Pronovias dress and glam by makeup artist Samanta Keefauver . We’re also loving the fall-colored floral bouquet by Bewilder Floral and how Lauren Miller Events planned reception decor that’s simple, yet bold enough to stand out in a cave. Scroll on to see all of these fabulous details and love-filled moments captured by the talented Abby Roses!

The Couple:

Bailey & Sam

The Wedding:

The Meritage Resort and Spa, Napa, California

I had a very special connection with my makeup artist (Sam) who is the most genuine and caring person I have ever been around. Having good energy around you the morning of your wedding is SO important and she made me feel calm and at ease the entire morning.

From the groom: I’ll never forget seeing Bailey in her dress for the first time. I’ll always remember feeling her finally touch my shoulder and turning around to see her. All the nervous anticipation and concern about tiny details washed away — I was just incredibly excited to marry this woman. The rest of the day was a blur. The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was a blast. But I’ll never forget our first look.

It’s so easy to dedicate way too much time and stress to the little things, but ultimately, this day is about marrying your best friend. That’s what matters and that’s what you’ll always remember.

The Cave at The Meritage Resort & Spa was breathtaking without any extra details. We wanted a simple and elegant wedding and The Cave was the perfect amount of drama while still being elegant and beautiful.

Blush and Burgundy Got a Major Update in This Modern Romantic Wedding Inspiration at The Stonehurst

September 14, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

When romantic and whimsical meet a classically cool couple, you get this eye-catching wedding inspiration at The Stonehurst created by Eventual Concepts and Eliza Jane Photography. We’ve never seen a blush and burgundy color pallet done like this before, and it has us heart eye emoji-ing over florals by Flowers By Lady Buggs, two stunning Amanda James gowns, and the most adorable Bubbles & Brews prosecco and craft beer truck. Prepare your Pinterest boards, friends, because you won’t want to forget every detail from this inspired day at The Stonehurst!

From the photographer: Our planner, Keosha from Eventual Concepts, remembered the day when she first got engaged. She ran to her local grocery store to grab every wedding magazine known to man. She got home and noticed there was something missing, as she anxiously went through each magazine. She was yearning for bridal imagery that was reflective of a bride with textured hair, golden, almost magical, skin with a handsome, sharply dressed groom. She got tired of waiting for that love story, so she created it.
