This Rustic Boho Long Hollow Ranch Wedding Has Amazing DIY Wood Details

February 14, 2020 | Junebug Weddings

Calling all rustic, boho babes! Hannah and Christopher’s magical day at Long Hollow Ranch will have you dreaming all the free-spirited, DIY wedding dreams. If you get weak over sentimental moments, fair warning—Autumn captured all the sweet emotions between this bride and groom. We’re obsessing over the color palette Hannah chose for her babes to wear, and just wait until you see all the wooden details at their ceremony site and outdoor reception! Fun fact: The couple chose to arrange their ceremony seating in a circle for a more intimate experience, and we love that idea! Get ready to be inspired by every little detail of Hannah and Christopher’s wedding at Long Hollow Ranch!

The Couple:

Hannah & Christopher

The Wedding:

Long Hollow Ranch, Sisters, Oregon

SHOP SIMILAR STYLES: Geometric Dangle Earrings ($14.99); Bridal White Arch Shaped Earrings ($27.00); White Porcelain Geometric Earrings ($40.00); Gold Arch Earrings ($20.00); Minimalist Gold Arch Earrings ($36.83)

We decided to do a round seating set up, rather than the normal straight rows. It created a really intimate vibe for the ceremony, and for us, made it feel like each of the people there were an active part of our wedding. Everyone was close in proximity, but also in an emotional way and I really loved the closeness of it all.

SHOP SIMILAR STYLES: Priscilla Large Rattan Vase ($39.00); Bistro 12” Rattan Planter + Stand ($99.00); Rattan Lantern ($78.00); Skye Rattan Stool ($39.00)

SHOP SIMILAR STYLES: Unplugged Ceremony Sign Vinyl Decal ($24.00+); Wooden Unplugged Wedding Sign ($34.00+); Unplugged Ceremony Sign for Wedding ($49.95+); Vertical Wooden Wedding Sign ($31.45+); Vertical Rustic Wooden Wedding Sign ($49.00+)

The most memorable part of the day was the emotion and love felt by all, throughout every step of the entire experience. Our wedding was the union of us as a couple, but more importantly the union of us as a family of three, with my 3 year old son.
It is easy to see and feel the love through the photos of the ceremony, reception and every moment in between and I will never forget how all of that felt for the three of us.

Less is more and to focus on what is important to you. It’s so easy to get caught up in the million little things you are “supposed to” do. I realized quickly that it’s so much more important and worth the time and effort to emphasize the things that really matter to you and let the other details go.

I loved the simple, boho look and all the colors and accents I ended up with worked well with the colors of the natural, scenic background of the venue. Basically, give me all the rust colors, light neutrals and greenery. Our vision pieced together really well and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.

Autumn became a part of our family the day of our wedding. She was easy-going, genuine, flexible, and heart felt. We all felt so comfortable around her from the moment we met her, and felt like she was emotionally connected to us and our story. She was completely willing to let us take the lead, while also keeping things moving the way they needed to. It was so nice to not have to worry about when to be where and what needed to be done, because she was on it. We adore her and will cherish her and our photos forever.

Modern Black Tie California Wedding at Kimberly Crest House and Gardens

February 13, 2020 | Junebug Weddings

We’re swooning over Sydney and Nick’s modern black tie California wedding at Kimberly Crest House! If you love chic, classic style with stunning venue views, then you’re sure to fall in love with every photo the talented Nicole Kirshner Photography captured of this incredible wedding day. Sydney and Nick’s vibe was pulled off through all the little details—from her custom gown made by L’ezu Bridal to the pops of color through the floral arrangements The Nature of Things beautifully created. Our favorite part: The couple’s vintage getaway car decked in the cutest “just married” banner!

The Couple:

Sydney & Nick

The Wedding:

Kimberly Crest House, Redlands, California

My wedding dress was a custom gown made by L’ezu Bridal in Beverly Hills! They did an incredible job and I was blown away by how it turned out! I drew a lot of inspiration from Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, and several designers in Europe, Spain, and Ukraine. I wanted a very clean, classic, royal feel that would be flattering and timeless. They really brought my vision to life!

Nick and I will always cherish our first look! we were so nervous and emotional leading up to that moment of finally seeing each other that we could barely breathe and it was just really really special.

Photography and videography were definitely at the top of our priority list when planning our wedding! I’m a wedding photographer myself, so I knew the value of hiring the right team from the very beginning!

We chose Kimberly Crest House because we really wanted a historic mansion with a European vibe! We loved it as soon as we saw it! Looks like a fairy tale castle!

Wedding planning advice from the bride: Hire a planner or month of coordinator even if you don’t think you need one!! They are life savers! And prioritize photography and videography! Make sure to leave lots of time in the schedule for your couples session! you will have these photos for the rest of your life!

Anthropologie-Inspired Wedding at Tower Hill Botanic Garden with Vibrant Pops of Color

February 12, 2020 | Junebug Weddings

Jenna and Clay celebrated their union at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, where guests can dine next to exotic plants and the great outdoors! With the help of Pedal And Stem, the couple decorated the space with pampas grass galore—in the bouquets, adorning the tables, and on their perfectly rustic DIY hexagon ceremony arbor. Fun fact: They later re-purposed the arch as the photo booth backdrop! If you’re a dog lover, you are going to freak over Jenna and Clay’s custom jean jackets with paintings of their dogs on them. With a a flash tattoo station during cocktail hour, custom What Do You Meme games to play, and a deliciously unique menu with items like coconut crusted chicken and watermelon feta gazpacho—this day had it all! Did we mention the keychain bar? Guests found personalized keychains at their seats, and could visit the bar in the hallways to decorate them with boho accessories. If this experiential and Anthropologie-inspired day sounds like you, just wait until you see every gorgeous image Scarlet Roots captured of it all!

Wedding planning advice from the bride: You have one chance to pick everything out, plan it all and each part is so memorable so enjoy the journey leading up to the big day. It all gets done somehow and honestly come the actual day, all of the planning woes just go away. So many couples give so much of themselves into each step that it should be cherished and bring smiles. Also don’t forget a sewing kit on the day of the wedding, ha! It will be more handy than you ever imagined. And lastly – get yourself an awesome and fun photographer – we had Scarlet Roots and she literally was our biggest hype person and we will forever remember her and how special she made us feel but also how funny and experienced she was.

We wanted an interactive gift so we set up a ‘Make your own keychain’ bar where we had leather tassels, agate slices, yarn llamas (which were the biggest hit), gems, etc. where everyone could take the personalized leather pendant from their plate setting and go to the bar to add more accessories to their keychain that fit their own styles.

To be honest, aren’t we all obsessed with Anthrpologie and BHLDN vibes? I wanted to replicate that but with our personalities in the mix so we blended humor with making our own ‘What Do you Meme’ games for each table where we had photos and captions of all of our guests yet all surrounded by Pampas grass, warm tone colors, palm tree plants, cement, candles and most of all – dancing!
