Adorable couple Jordyn and Jordan tied the knot at their alma mater chapel before heading over to the gorgeous Ataahua Garden Venue for a reception filled with pretty petals and sweet treats. The Inspiration: “We got a lot of ideas from both of our families and had always wanted a fresh youthful feeling to it. We choose a small beach/coastal town and wanted it to be classic yet have a modern feel to it.”

The Moments: “For me it was when we were pronounced husband and wife and I got to kiss my husband for the first time.”

Extravagant Cancun Wedding

A Cancun wedding calls for something above and beyond. Luckily, Daniela and Mazen brought on a team of Mexico’s finest wedding professionals to put together their extravagant dream wedding. The bold, vibrant colors and intriguing angles Zasil Studio captured throughout the day only make the wedding even more captivating.

The Wedding: Hard Rock Cancun Hotel, Cancun, Mexico

The Inspiration: “We wanted something modern, fun, out of the ordinary, with lots of bright electric colors. As for the tablecloths, they were black with embroidery inspired in his oriental roots. The flowers, they all had a meaning, taken from a book called The Meaning of Flowers. There was a big L O V E with lights where our guests shot their pictures.”

The Moments: “Our dance. It was only us in the dance floor.”

The Couple Recommends: “We were very lucky to have chosen who we consider are the best of the best when it comes to weddings. Our wedding planner was the most understanding and always one step ahead. She exceded our expectations, as Vincent, our photographer and Javier the videographer did as well. Vincent was the most fun to work with and took away any bit of camera-shyness, which came out to an unforgettable wedding photo shoot and trash-the-dress. Javier filmed and edited the best wedding videos we could ask for. Can´t get enough of watching and showing them off to our friends and family.”

Gray and Yellow Wedding in Ontario

There’s something about a charming garden wedding that always puts a smile on our faces! It’s easy to see why Chantal and Simon chose Strathmere to hold their gray and yellow wedding, with its lovely meadows filled with sunflowers and pastel accents. Ottawa photographer Blair Gable did a beautiful job capturing the couple’s sweet first look in the garden, which might be one of our all-time favorite moments. As if that weren’t enough, Chantal’s demure, vintage bridal style is one for the books.

The Couple: Chantal and Simon

The Wedding: Strathmere, North Gower, Ontario

The Inspiration: “It was really important to both of us that we not get lost in the details and plan a day that we could, and would, enjoy as much as our guests. To that end we kept things simple with a yellow and grey palette and a slight vintage vibe.”

The Moments: “When talking this question over we could not narrow it down to one moment, so here are our top three! The first standout moment for us was definitely the first look photo shoot. It was a fun way to capture seeing each other for the first time in our wedding garb, while easing a little bit of the pressure/nerves before the ceremony itself. The second favorite moment was coming back up the aisle to the sweet, sweet sound of Hall and Oates, and knowing that the “official” part of the day was over and the party could begin. Finally we just had to give a shout out to the final song of the night: The Time of My Life. It was a great way to wrap things up and we were delighted by the number of folk who trooped with us until 1 AM.“

The Couple Recommends: “Blair was a dream to work with and really gave us a set of photos that captured the key moments and mood of the day. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience with him, an A+ professional from start to finish.

Strathmere was a delight. The staff were exceptional and the venue was gorgeous. They handled an enormous amount of the logistics and served a great spread!”
