Carmel and Jason’s blush and burgundy wedding was inspired by the floral designs of Blooms by Bethan. The full bouquets of pink and red set the tone for a rustic glam affair in Australia. The bride’s Johanna Johnson dress was as stunning as they come with intricate beading and a subtle silver shade. Photographer I Love Wednesdays captured romantic portraits of the newlyweds out by the Sydney Harbor as they sun set in the distance.

The Inspiration:
Rustic vintage. I wanted flowers to feature heavily and I loved the deep reds and greens of the foliage to show through. My dress, hair and makeup was quite vintage in its style and I loved the burlap and twine which featured in our invites, bouquets and in the table settings. The bridesmaids were all able to design their own dresses to suit their personality and to feel comfortable in them. I had a working bee to hand stamp everyone’s place card/ favour bag which the guests filled with lollies from the sweets table. On the sweets table we had photos of our parents, grandparents and our little dog Belle. We thought it was a lovely way to share the day with those who couldn’t be with us.
The Moments:
I loved entering the reception to see all our closest family and friends it was so exciting to be able to celebrate with them. I was also stunned at how beautiful the reception venue looked, in particular the flowers it was breathtaking.

We were very lucky to have an excellent team working with us on our special day. Blooms By Beathan’s floral work is lush and her cakes are unique and delicious! We were also so pleased by Len of I love Wednesdays and the girls at Light Noise Films for making us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and their work captures all the awesome little moments that we can enjoy time and time again.
