Aaron and Leslie originally met while attending the same university, but when they reconnected eight years later at a soccer tournament, they knew they couldn’t let each other go. Their breathtaking wedding at Manning Park incorporated the perfect combination of the couple’s two favorite things–nature and antiques. Leslie loves flowers, and for her wedding, she hand selected the colorful array of wildflowers used for the centerpieces and the other floral wedding decor. Talented photographer Mathias Fast took advantage of the beautiful, natural scenery of the park and captured stunning photos of the couple on their wedding day.

The Inspiration:

Leslie is very classically beautiful, and she went with a beautiful low backed simple yet elegant dress. I wanted a blue suit/brown shoe look that had classic colours but a fairly modern fit. We both love antiques, and we wanted a less polished simple decor that antiques wouldn’t look out of place in. Les loves flowers, and she went up into the hills and collected a beautiful array of wildflowers for our beer bottle centerpieces. We wanted to create a sort of rustic, timeless ambience, right from our jazz band to our clear lights in the tent.

The Moments:

My favorite moment without a doubt was seeing her for the first time as she walked down the aisle. She was so beautiful and I was so proud that I was about to marry her. It was a really heavy moment, where I felt so blessed to be standing there about to be able to promise my life to such a smart, kind, and beautiful woman.

Mathias Fast was unbelievable. He is a very humble guy with a very real gift. He captured some incredible images and highlighted the natural beauty of the setting. He made every effort to get to know us and our style, and somehow adapted that into his work. There are no do-overs on that day, and it seemed like every moment and emotion was somehow captured in his work.
