What is more romantic than a wedding in the rolling hills of Spain overlooking the rocky, rustic architecture? Pilar and Pierce’s classic church wedding was followed by breathtaking views and remarkable photos captured by talented photographer Robert J Hill. The bride wore an elegant mermaid styled, white gown. Following their unbelievable photo shoot, their intimate reception at Hotel Pessets in Lleida, Spain was surrounded by the love of friends and family — such a perfect end to an unforgettable day.

The Inspiration:
The inspiration of our wedding theme was to combine elements from both cultures; The South & Spain. Besides growing up in Spain Pilar grew up in North Carolina, just like Pierce. We were both heavily influenced by the southern roots, so we included elements of burlap, lace and lavender. The menu, because of where we were, was traditional to the region, with a modern touch. We both really like a European style of attire, we wanted something classic yet current; slim suit & a dress that was similar to that of a flamenco dress.
The Moments:
Besides saying our “I Do’s” one of our favorite parts of the wedding, was the day before. Pilar‘s father organized a lunch up in a refuge in the middle of the mountain with pretty much everyone from the wedding. We ate, drank & laughed all day, because of that we were a little late to our rehearsal. Being able to hang out with aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, friends & our parents before the wedding was a day we will never forget.

I would recommend him to any new bride that was in the process of searching for a photographer because he is the whole package.
