A little rain on your wedding day is meant to be a good omen, and if this rainy wedding photo shoot tells us anything, Laura and Sam have many great years ahead. The couple headed out into the woods with photographer Kevin Klein as the sky began to sprinkle, but nothing could keep Sam from his bride. How cute is that first look? As the drops continued to fall, the newlyweds frolicked through wet grass and between the tall trees of Harz Forest. The resulting images are impossibly dreamy!
Congrats to Laura and Sam on celebrating their wedding day, come rain or shine! For more of Kevin Klein‘s German wedding photography, check out Christine and Fabio’s relaxed and natural barn wedding.
A traditional Texas wedding is all about a beautiful ceremony, stunning floral design, and celebrating the naturally rustic surroundings. Whitney and Will tied the knot at The University of Texas Golf Club in the fall where 36th Street Events and Merveille Events brilliantly paired elegant neutrals with bold red, orange, and pink flowers to make a perfect autumn in Austin-inspired palette. Jennifer Lindberg Weddings captured every lovely detail and the excitement everyone present shared on Whitney and Will’s day.
We wanted the wedding itself to be pretty traditional, but we also wanted to draw from our Texas hill country surroundings. Given that we were having an outdoor wedding in the fall, I really wanted to keep our decor natural and tie everything in to our surroundings. I didn’t want anything to look too symmetrical and manicured. I never even picked a true color scheme. I just wanted “fall colors.”
The Moments:
The ceremony was definitely one of my favorite parts of the wedding. Our officiant was a family friend, and he really did a phenomenal job with the ceremony. It was clear he really “got” our relationship. Standing at the altar with Will exchanging vows was a really special moment. Even though we were surrounded by hundreds of family and friends, it felt very intimate. My other favorite moment from the wedding was belting out “Don’t Stop Believing” with Will on stage at the end of the night. All of our family and friends were gathered on the dance floor singing back at us. It was totally out of character for us to do something like that, but it was so much fun and such a cool moment!
The Couple Recommends:
Jenn Lindberg was fantastic! We were so pleased with our engagement photos, rehearsal dinner photos and wedding photos. Her team really did a wonderful job of capturing the shots we wanted.
Beth Walker with 36th Street Events was also wonderful. She really understood our vision and provided great insight and advice. She really did a great job of making the whole weekend come together.
We also loved our band, Blind Date! They really kept the party going and played a great mix of music.
A special thanks to Whitney and Will for sharing their traditional Austin wedding with Junebug! For more of Jennifer Lindberg Weddings‘ Austin wedding photography, be sure to check out Julia and Vannie’s traditional wedding at Hotel Ella.
Cypress Grove Estate House might be the most romantic venue we’ve seen, especially with the addition of a pink and silver color palette designed by RW Events. Cassie and Chase tied the knot in Orlando, Florida beneath a white wooden archway and a chandelier of roses crafted by Special Event Floral. The bride looked positively stunning in her tiered Monique Lhuillier gown, which added to the modern classic feel of the whole day. The way Gian Carlo Photography captured Cassie and Chase’s wedding with a sense of nostalgia and romance has us feeling like we’re reminiscing on a celebration we attended, rather than simply viewing the extraordinary day through images.
I like classic southern style but we both also really love combining modern touches with the overall classic theme. We incorporated that into our table by having antique silver candelabras with stark red and pink floral arrangements and black tablecloths. We wanted lots of candles to set a romantic mood. Even our attire for the day combined classic and modern. I wore a vintage styled Monique Lhuillier dress with a tiered horsehair trim and an added crystal belt while Chase wore a metallic grey modern cut suit.
The Moments:
There were so many amazing moments but we both just loved the end of the night dancing with our friends and family. We bought a ton of glow sticks and when we passed them out it really brought the energy of the night up. It was amazing knowing that we were finally married and could just enjoy and celebrate at that point.

Gian Carlo was so much more than a wedding photographer. He did whatever it took to perfectly capture our day (from climbing on chairs to laying on the dance floor). Gian Carlo truly goes above and beyond to make sure that every moment is preserved in a beautiful and artistic way.
The floral arrangements by Cheryl Dunning of Special Events Floral exceeded our expectations. She combined all the elements that we were looking for (beautiful candelabras, candles, and flowers) into an amazing creation. The chandelier that hung in the gazebo where the ceremony took place was breathtaking. They also provided chandeliers filled with candles glowing around our reception that set the perfect romantic ambiance.
