Cozy Cute Florida Wedding at Bramble Tree Estate

May 21, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

We’ve got your daily dose of sweetness right here with Kristin and Marcus’ wedding at Bramble Tree Estate! Using a palette of soft pink and ivory, the couple created a naturally elegant vibe accented with rustic details, such as handmade signs, antique wooden frames, and burlap tablecloths. The couple said “I do” in an intimate outdoor ceremony under a large shade tree, then danced (and sang!) the night away under a canopy of cafe lights in the open-air pavilion. Even sweeter than the details, though, were the candid moments captured by Noelle Johnson. You could feel the sisterly love between Kristin and her bridesmaids as they got ready, exchanged gifts, and prayed together before the ceremony. Then the magical moments between the bride and groom, which included bursts of laughter and intimate cuddles, completely stole our hearts!

Naturally Beautiful Pennsylvania Wedding at the Ledges Hotel

May 20, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

When adventure-lovers Cristina and Tim found the mountain paradise called Ledges Hotel for their wedding day, it was love at first sight! The venue featured a quaint garden ceremony space, picturesque waterfalls, and a nearby beach, all of which provided stunning backdrops for the emotional ceremony photos and adventurous couple portraits captured by M2 Photography. Cristina and Tim kept the décor natural and elegant, using simple greenery, agate slide name cards, and gold and black candles to decorate the tables. The bride also created large wooden signs with the lyrics to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” written in calligraphy to serve as the backdrop for their dance floor. We simply can’t get enough of the beautiful details and emotional moments of this lovely wedding!

The Couple:

Cristina and Tim

The Wedding:

Ledges Hotel, Hawley, Pennsylvania

We wanted our wedding to be intimate and grounded. At the time, we had been together for 8 years, and we wanted to celebrate our devotion to one another surrounded by those who were most important to us. We chose a smaller venue, one where everyone could stay for the weekend, and just relished in all the love.

Being someone who is typically not very emotional, the whole wedding was moved to tears when Tim began to cry during his vows. Tim turned to his father, who was our officiant, and asked for his help. His father then finished Tim‘s vows as Tim and I held hands and allowed emotions to take over. It was beautiful, perfect and incredibly heartfelt.

We searched for a long time to find a venue that was small, intimate and had an earthy vibe. As adventurers, we have always loved the mountains and spending time outdoors. So finding a mountain venue that fit all our requirements was a dream! Ledges Hotel was absolutely perfect! We fell completely head over heels with the waterfalls and multi-level decks. It allowed us to have our entire wedding + reception outdoors surrounded by mountain beauty. Plus, our entire wedding party was able to stay the at Ledges Hotel and really let loose at the wedding without any reservation.

Our advice it to take your time planning! Tim and I were engaged for two years, so we were able to choose our venue and vendors carefully. It was important that we selected people who were loved as people, beyond their craft. We wanted our love story to be documented by those who truly understood us as a couple, and the trials and tribulations we had overcome to get to our big day. In those two years, we were able to build incredible relationships with our vendors, who have now become some of our closest friends whom we love endlessly.

Our photographers were absolutely incredible. Melissa was my rock the entire day, making sure everything was flowing appropriately and that I enjoyed every moment. Michael was incredible with the groomsmen and quickly became just one of the boys! Together, Melissa and Michael, made our day unforgettable and we love them so so much.

I made all the wooden signage throughout our ceremony and reception, most noticeably the large signage that was used to cover some windows in our dance area (aka the ruins). I stained large pieces of plywood, and scripted lyrics from our favorite song, “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” We were first introduced as Mr. & Mrs. to this song, so it was perfect!
