Edgy Elopement Inspiration on the Coast of the Baltic Sea

April 29, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Wianda Bongen Photography and TELEUKTROUWEN event planners show us that tough and wild can be beautiful and romantic in this edgy elopement at the Møns Klint cliffs in Denmark. Donning an embroidered and tasseled high/low wedding dress from the Rue De Seine collection, this bride’s bohemian chic look took on an edgy vibe with a fishtail crown braid and black combat boots. As for décor, the magic was in the details. The moody floral arrangements by Judith Slagter provided contrast against the black table runner and gold accents, and the single-strand Edison lights above the table added a warm glow. We especially love the unique bar and dessert station, which featured a black and gold donut pegboard and matching wedding cake created by Majesteit Taart.

From the photographer: We titled this styled wedding shoot with the title: “Tough Wild Thing.” It is an edgy, tough, flowy, and ‘rough’ styled shoot with lots of details and a stunning location in Denmark. A bride doesn’t need to be dreamy all the time. So, in this shoot, our bride is the tough, wild thing.

Illinois Countryside Wedding at Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room

April 29, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Jessica and Humberto’s wedding at Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room combined elegant style with rustic décor to create a beautiful celebration! The indoor/outdoor spaces of the farm venue spoke to the couple’s unique personalities because it allowed guests to choose either to be in a laid-back setting or right in the middle of the party during the reception. The bride’s brother brewed a special beer for the couple using ingredients from their respective home states – Illinois and Texas – as well as from California, which is where the couple met and fell in love. We love how Native Weddings captured every detail and nuance of this beautiful wedding!

The Couple:

Jessica and Humberto

The Wedding:

Emerson Creek Pottery and Tea Room, Oswego, Illinois

We loved the natural secluded setting. The pond and open farmland was amazing and the indoor/outdoor space allowed for everyone to find a space. It was the only venue we felt truly suited our different personalities.

We had a mariachi to kick things off, as well as a beer brewed with ingredients from our respective home states, and the state where we met (Illinois wheat [hers], Texas grains [his] and California hops [ours]). The most fun had to have been spent on the indoor/outdoor dance floor with a mix of Spanish and English classics!

“Matrimonial(e): This brew was specially crafted to celebrate the joining of two amazing lives. Texas grown pale malt and Midwest two row provide the foundation of this beer, symbolizing the unique individual beginnings of the bride and groom. A healthy dose of west coast hops represents the place where Jess and Humberto’s love blossomed. Being something more than its sum of parts, this brew as a whole depicts the synergetic spirit that Jess and Humberto hope to exude in their life together.”

Bohemian Glamping Wedding Inspiration at Panacea at the Canyon

April 28, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

This desert elopement inspiration at Pancea at the Canyon will put you in the bohemian state of mind for days! Dawn Photography and AE Creative pulled out all the stops to create a dreamy, glamping-inspired shoot within one of Oregon’s most scenic canyons. They set up a fabulous tee pee, hung geometric gold floral hangings from the trees, used macrame backdrops and chair coverings, and chose bohemian-chic fashion with an off-the-shoulder Dreamers & Lovers wedding dress and Southwest inspired groom style. Every detail was thoughtful and expertly designed, right down to the beer from Deschutes Brewery, which was named after the river that runs through the canyon!

From the photographer: “This styled shoot was a dream come true! I’ve always wanted to photograph an epic couple, with a gorgeous tee pee, & amazing scenery! It was fun to see how all the vendors collaborated together to promote styles they all wanted to see more of, or to inspire others.”
