Elegant California Vineyard Wedding at Vintage Ranch

May 7, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Modern, timeless, and romantic are just a few words that come to mind when looking through these photos from Jerika and Charles’ California wedding at Vintage Ranch. The day started with an intimate outdoor ceremony overlooking a gorgeous vineyard and ended in an indoor/outdoor barn reception. The couple combined clean, minimalist design in the outdoor tent with rustic décor in the indoor barn to create two separate but equally beautiful spaces that reflected both sides of their personalities. We can’t get enough of this adorable couple’s fashion choices, which included a delicate sequin Sarah Seven wedding gown and a custom blue velvet blazer from Tailors’ Keep. Our hats off to photographer Alexandra Wallace for capturing the pure joy, love, and excitement in this lovely wedding!

The Couple:

Jerika and Charles

The Wedding:

Vintage Ranch, Paso Robles, California

We wanted our wedding day look to be classic, timeless, and unique. I wore the Lille dress by Sarah Seven. As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I knew it was going to be special. The low cut neck line and open back added a touch of modern fashion, the capped sleeves added a classic look, and the delicate sequins just took my breath away. To top off the look, I wore Charles‘ grandmothers pearls paired with Margaret Elizabeth’s ‘Moonstone Sausalito Bangle” and her “Petite Moonstone Crawlers.”

Charles‘ suit was custom made in San Francisco by Ryan, the owner of Tailors’ Keep. Andi, our wedding coordinator, suggested a blue velvet blazer and as soon as I saw pictures, I knew it would be a perfect match for my dress. (And boy did he look stunning!!)

Alexandra, our photographer, was a dream come true and a phenomenal photographer! She was fast yet thoughtful, flawless, and went with the flow. Alli captured photos I didn’t even think of capturing and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera even though we are both so camera shy. Alli was so great about capturing real moments and blending in with all that was happening. We couldn’t have chosen a better photographer! We love you, Alli!

From the groom: The most memorable part was all the laughter, tears of joy, and love that happened throughout the whole day. Our non-traditional ceremony was officiated by our good friend Bernie. Our vows were filled with passion and jokes, which carried on through the toasts and dancing. It’s a night we will never forget.

We personalized our wedding with a few DIY projects and custom pieces we found and could use in our everyday lives/home décor. The biggest project was practicing my calligraphy to make our welcome sign, seating chart, place cards, ice cream menu, and bar menu. It was so much fun!

Some items we took form around our home were galvanized letters, a customized succulent letter planter (made by my best friend Terri), and a felt letter board that we used to display our dinner menu.

From the bride: For me, the most memorable time of the day was the last song of the night. We weren’t planning on dancing to “Home” by Edward Sharp & The Magnetic Zeros. We thought the song would play in the background as we did our sparkler exit. But, of course, we danced to it anyways and what made it most memorable was when Charles swept me off my feet (literally!) and danced with me in his arms. It was like the whole night froze and all I could see was my husband. All I can remember was how happy and alive I felt in that very moment!

Edgy Design-Oriented Dallas Wedding at Lofty Spaces

May 7, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

When it comes to edgy and modern style, Jennifer and Chase showed us how to nail every detail in their Dallas wedding at Lofty Spaces. It was extremely important to the couple that the design reflected their unique personalities, so they took the time to hand-dip each invitation, dyed the table runners to match, and even collected, cut, and dripped wax over wine bottles to add a vintage feel. We love how they used burgundy in the décor and in the wedding party fashion to complement both their edgy and romantic styles. The bride’s bohemian-style Rue De Seine gown added the perfect amount of whimsy to the overall feel of the day. a sea of love outdid themselves with these photos that not only showcase every stunning detail but also add their own level of artsy edginess that complements this couple’s style perfectly!

The Couple:

Jennifer and Chase

The Wedding:

Lofty Spaces, Dallas, Texas

My wedding dress was the FIRST dress I tried on. When you know, you know! My favorite thing to hear was “that dress is SO you!” Thats how I knew I made the right decision. My favorite accessories were my shoes because they matched Chase‘s jacket perfectly. Also, who doesn’t love velvet?

Right after we got engaged, I reached out to Morgan. I didn’t even have a date yet! I just knew in my heart that I wanted her and Blake to document our day. Working with the 2 of them was just so easy, natural, and organic. Nothing was ever forced. The emotion captured in each frame was genuine. Thats when you know your photographer is GOOD. I remember one of my bridesmaids (who is so very camera shy) say “She’s just so good- she makes me feel like I actually look good in front of the camera!” That being said, Morgan and Blake from a sea of love by far were the best decision we made during our planning process.

Our advice is to do everything and anything it takes to achieve your overall vision. When it comes to planning your wedding, it can be done. Whether you make it yourself or you have a great team of people around you. You only get to have this day once in your life, so JUST DO IT!

Just Try Not to Smile at This Colorful Southwestern Wedding Inspiration Shoot

Coral, orange, and teal may not be the first colors that come to mind when you think of a Southwestern wedding, but Honey Lemon Events and Blush and Bloom showed us how perfect those colors can be when accented with darker, moodier hues. The table design included a brown paper runner featuring the lyrics of John Legend’s “All of Me,” a stunning floral arrangement, and mismatched jewel-tone place settings that reflected the colors of the fabric ceremony backdrop. The bridal fashion was also on point with two wedding dresses from Ferre Sposa, a long layered veil, and a sequin jacket that added an unexpected (but totally welcome) touch of glam! We can’t get enough of these impeccable details, which Carrie J. Photography captured so perfectly!
