Plan Your Riviera Maya Wedding: Vendors, Inspiration, & Expert Advice

We hired Julieta for our engagement shoot as well as our wedding. She was extremely kind and easy to work with. Even our guests liked her! I get compliments on our pictures all the time- highly recommend.

My husband and I hired Celia for our wedding in Cabo and we are so happy we decided to have her photograph our special day. We have been getting so many compliments on our wedding photos from all of our friends, family, coworkers, etc!!! We highly recommend her for any of your photography needs!

It was such a joy to work with Martin. He was professional, kind, and so easy to work with. His photography style is everything that I love and more. We received our previews the day after and it exceeded all my expectations! I cannot stop looking at my photos! Hiring Martin was one of the easiest decisions I made during the wedding planning process. He captured all the unforgettable moments on this special day! I wish I also hired him for our Welcome Party as well! 11/10!

Everyone at take it photo that we have interacted with, for our wedding has been extremely professional, responsive, and generally a delight. We booked services for our wedding about a year and a half out. We met someone on the team about three months before our wedding when we had a walk-through of the venue. Throughout that year span of time, the team was willing to answer any questions that I had, despite their being long lead up to the actual wedding day. On the actual wedding day, the photographers were extremely punctual. They were incredibly easy to get along with, and we managed to have time for all of the photos that we wanted and still stay within our overall wedding day timeline. They provided us a sneak peek of some of the photos that we were going to be receiving, and it’s easy to say that we were absolutely blown away with the quality. I’m excited to get the rest of our photos, and I’m so glad we chose Take It photo to be with us and create photo memories for one of the most special days of our lives.

We hired Mel and Fred to photograph our wedding in Cabo in December 2019. They’re both so sweet and personable, and instantly made us feel relaxed and at ease with them. They come with ideas and were open to any feedback we gave. They captured us very naturally, which was a priority for us, and were fun to be around! We highly recommend them!

Clemente was a phenomenal photographer and videographer. He communicated clearly and exceeded our expectations as we were planning our destination wedding. He was flexible in navigating our venue location from outside to inside due to weather change. Additionally, he provided us digital files quickly for our video and photos. Our favorite is the video as it really encompasses our wedding day.

I couldn’t recommend Gerardo and his team any more. I studied their photography style beforehand and found them to be one of the best photographers in the area. They were incredibly discrete, capturing numerous off-guard moments that I absolutely loved in my wedding pictures. Not only were they attentive, prompt, and respectful, but their ability to blend in was remarkable. I hardly noticed them taking pictures or being around, yet the photos proved they were always incognito. They were prompt and also on time, and flexible in my editing requests

They CRUSHED IT! Our pictures are everything we could ever dream of. They captured every moment perfectly! These two are a breath of fresh air to be around! I warned them my group was “kind of a lot” when they arrived and they became a part of it and laughed through the day with us! They made us so comfortable at being uncomfortable with taking pictures. They were such a joy to spend our wedding day with! I told my husband the night of our wedding that we really got the best photographers out there. We can’t thank them enough! I hope our paths cross again someday :)

Having Lucy as our planner was one of the best decisions we made for our beautiful wedding in Puerto Aventuras! From the moment we met Lucy a year prior to tour different venues, her energy, expertise, and attitude made me know we couldn’t have chosen a better person to make our dreams come true. Planning a destination wedding from afar could have easily felt overwhelming, but Lucy made the entire process feel seamless, organized, and genuinely enjoyable from start to finish. From the very beginning, her communication was incredible — responsive, thoughtful, and always reassuring. She guided us through every detail, ensured we stayed on track using her checklist, and helped coordinate the most amazing vendors. Even on our wedding day, Lucy and her team handled an enormous challenge — a local power outage — with immediate solutions to ensure everything still went perfectly. What surprised us most was how personally invested she became in making our wedding feel like us. Every detail felt intentional, elevated, and beautifully executed. Seeing everything come together throughout our wedding weekend honestly exceeded anything we could have imagined. It was the perfect balance of luxury, fun, warmth, and effortless flow. Our guests are still talking about how incredible the entire weekend was, and we truly could not have done it without Lucy and her team. If you are considering planning a destination wedding and feel nervous about logistics, trust me — you want Lucy in your corner. She is talented, calm under pressure, creative, and genuinely cares so much about her couples. We would hire her again in a heartbeat and recommend her to absolutely anyone!!

Dream Wedding all thanks to Luisa and her team! Luisa Clemente is heaven sent! I truly could not have pictured planning this wedding without her! She was able to take all my ideas and my vision for my wedding and bring them to life. We sat on calls for hours really nailing it down. I also now consider her a friend. She is super personable and easy to talk to. She is also the best problem solver. She overall helped me save money and found the BEST vendors for my wedding at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. Her team member, Angeles, helped me so much on my wedding day, she made sure I was hydrated and helped me find things I was looking for, anything I needed she was right there. She also took pix of me and helped calm my nerves, she was a true Angel on my wedding day! I cannot believe how perfect and beautiful everything came out, I could relive that day over and over!!! 10/10 cannot recommend Weddings Riviera Maya more!!!

Our event ended up running behind schedule, and they could not have been more patient, accommodating, or professional. Instead of making us feel rushed, they remained flexible and kind throughout the entire experience. They also went the extra mile afterward to help with editing and make sure we were completely happy with our photos. Even one year later they are still going above and beyond to assist with editing the photos to preserve our memories. The combination of talent, professionalism, flexibility, and genuine kindness really sets this photographer apart. We ended up with gorgeous photographs and an equally positive experience working with them. Lorenzo and his team made my wedding planning and wedding day flawless!! He and his assistant Emily worked alongside me and my mom to plan the perfect wedding. They both were so helpful and communicative and made me stress free and as a bride that is the MOST important. I am so appreciative of their service and expertise!

Our wedding was organized with SOS Wedding Planners in Cancun, and the service provided undoubtedly showed their professionalism and extensive experience. They were always very helpful and attentive to our needs and expectations. On the wedding day, everything turned out much better than expected. Unfortunately, we had bad weather on the day of the ceremony, but they handled the situation brilliantly and found a very intelligent solution, and in the end, it was beautiful. I definitely recommend them if you're planning a destination wedding or any type of wedding.

Michael and his team made my dream wedding come true! I was nervous planning a wedding in Mexico since I live in CA but truthfully, Michael is qualified, experienced & skilled. If there is something you want for your wedding, he will go to lengths to find it. Not to mention, there was never a delay in communication which put my type A personality at ease. I was skeptical hiring a wedding planner since I like to be in control, but trust me, leaving your wedding in control in Michaels hands, allows you to be fully present and enjoy your wedding. Sina made our wedding more amazing than we could have even imagined. Living in the United States, we were worried about doing a destination wedding, but Sina helped us every step of the way. She was very patient and collaborative in helping us find the perfect vendors for our special day. Decoration is my passion and I’m a very particular person when it comes to how I want something to look, and Sina was more than patient and help create exactly what I had in my head in real life. She’s very organized And she helps make sure each vendor knows exactly what it is that you’re looking for. She’s also super sweet and as easy to talk to online as she is in person.
