After Igor proposed to his high school sweetheart Frances in the middle of Central Park, the couple knew they wanted to recreate the magic and romance of that special day with an industrial wedding at the Fermenting Cellar in Toronto. The couple’s main goal was to create an intimate and romantic vibe, which they accomplished by using a darker color palette of red, gold, and black and filling the space with greenery-forward floral arrangements by A Petal or Two. The rich colors were a glamorous complement to the floor-to-ceiling brick and exposed beams of the venue. The couple also had a seriously impressive dessert table organized by Nadia and Co. that featured a love naked cake from Cake Luxe. This chic couple put together the urban glam wedding of their dreams, the photographers at Mango Studios captured every detail beautifully!
The Couple:
Frances and Igor
The Wedding:
Fermenting Cellar, Toronto, Canada
Igor and I have always been city people. When Igor proposed in the middle of Central Park in NYC, I knew I wanted to recreate that magical urban ambience at my wedding.
Igor gave me a copy of the first movie we ever watched together, and I made a book with all the things I love about him. The book had little stick figures that looked like us!
I never wanted a wedding, but I always said if I did get married it was going to be at the Fermenting Cellar. It has the perfect mix of industrial and romance. When I looked at the venue, I just instantly fell in love with the exposed beams and walls. I also love that it used to be an old Whisky Brewery. We love whisky and it’s a really cool story to tell people.
I had over 300 gold animals scattered throughout the venue, which I spray painted myself on my small balcony. It took me a year but it was a beautiful addition to the decor.
