This Couple Spiced Up Their Industrial Southern Bleachery Wedding with an Autumn Color Palette

September 9, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Leah and Mike’s South Carolina wedding Southern Bleachery has us ready for these final days of summer to come to a close so that warm colors and fall-inspired décor can take over! The couple wanted a day that was as relaxed and fun as their relationship, so they hired Coordinate Your Date to create an informal brunch wedding that was bursting with jewel tone florals designed by Kate Asire Flowers, fruit and veggie tablescapes, and vintage-inspired copper accents that instantly warmed up the industrial venue. Their goal was to create a boho feel with a classy twist, and we think they nailed it! From the sweet first look to the human pyramid and piñata at the reception, Sophie Brendle Photography captured every unforgettable moment of this fall wedding!

The Couple:

Leah and Mike

The Wedding:

Southern Bleachery, Taylors, South Carolina

I knew my then-fiancé loved lace so that was really my only inspiration aside from the fact that I knew I didn’t want anything strapless. I loved my wedding dress because it was comfortable and I didn’t want to take it off the first time I tried it on. Also, my bridesmaids teared up when I tried it on and I just knew it was the right one.

We are both pretty relaxed and so we knew we didn’t want to go formal. We also both like bright colors as opposed to softer more classic wedding colors. We played off of Fall jewel colors and then threw in a little bit of California boho vibe. The flowers played into the style with colors and a more whimsical playful look and feel. I would like to describe our style as boho with a touch of class.

We did a pretty traditional ceremony and gave the pastor freedom to say what he wanted as long as it was short. We also had my 1 and 3-year-old nephews in the ceremony which made it feel more relaxed as the 3-year-old dumped all the flower petals in a pile and then crawled in between us and the pastor as we were saying our vows. We loved it and it made everyone laugh.

We did brunch for our reception meal! One of our favorite things to do together while dating was to go out for brunch on Sundays after church, so it made perfect sense to us to have that as our meal at our wedding. Everyone told us that they loved it. Even my mom who was skeptical of it at first ended up loving it!

Processional – “Clancy’s Theme” (from the movie Man from Snowy River) by Bruce Rowland
Recessional – “Hybernia” by Michael W. Smith
First Dance – “XO” by John Mayer

We wanted everyone at the wedding to feel relaxed and have fun, hence the traditional Jewish family dance, building a human pyramid out on the dance floor and then doing a piñata.

The Fall Color Palette of This Frost Woods Park Wedding Inspiration Took Cues From Seasonal Fruits and Veggies

September 8, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Autumn is officially in the air, and this fall-inspired wedding shoot in Frost Woods Park has us feeling all the warm fuzzies! Between the blanket of leaves covering the ground, the lush florals designed by Kerry Patel Designs that paired red and orange blooms with mossy greens, and the mix of vintage furniture, boho macrame, and rustic wood and antlers, Tori Kelner Photography and the entire team went above and beyond to create a woodsy wedding that dreams are made of. For a pop of freshness, they created a bar wall covered in greenery that added both a visual break and a unique focal point, and FlourBomb Cake Co. baked a scrumptious half-traditional, half-naked wedding cake covered in florals for the sweetest end to a perfect day.

Romantic Minimalist Prospect House Wedding with Greenery and Red Accents

September 8, 2018 | Junebug Weddings

Modern and minimalistic might not be the first two words that come to mind when you think about the Texas Hill Country, but Delanah and Quinten’s wedding at Prospect House was just that! Jessica from Uptown Events & Travel created a minimalist, winter-inspired design for their indoor reception using lots of greenery and red blooms provided by Merveille Events, all of which complemented the minimalist feel of their outdoor ceremony. The all-white interior of the venue made the pops of color look super romantic and the light wood tables, white linens, rose gold accents added that modern flair that matched the couple’s personal style. We love the sleek and timeless feel (and pockets!) of Delanah’s Carolina Herrera gown and the white suit jacket from Men’s Wearhouse that Quinten wore to match that timeless feel but with a modern twist. a sea of love photography‘s eye for detail and artistic style perfectly captured the vibe and energy of this beautiful Texas wedding!
