June 22, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Get your Pinterest boards ready because this Wolf Feather Honey Farm wedding inspiration is everything you need to create a wildly eclectic and totally romantic vibe! The oh-so-talented Nicola Dixon and Fawn Events used one of our newest palette obsessions, rust and orange, for the foundation of the retro look and added boho details galore. Then Joy of Bloom Florals layered on the most incredible florals with tabletop arrangements, ceremony teepee accents, and two bridal bouquets! As an unexpected touch of glam, the bride wore a sparkly champagne gown from Chosen by One Day while the groom rocked a classic tux from Friar Tux. All in all, this styled shoot had a touch of retro, boho, rustic, and glam, and photographer Lauren Mecum did a brilliant job capturing it all!

Your Mid-Century Wes Anderson Summer Camp Dreams Come True in This Robinswood House Wedding

Wildflowers and woods and Wes Anderson…oh, my! Arielle and Bennett’s camp-inspired wedding at Robinswood House had our hearts from the moment we laid eyes on these photos captured by Vivienne Tyler Photography. The couple and their planner from Gather Events put a modern twist on Wes Anderson vibes, and the result was pure summer wedding magic! Arielle let Layered Vintage keep the floral designs a surprise, and the number of wildflowers she was able to integrate into every nook of the decor is mind-blowing. With a ceremony beneath the trees, mid-century modern lounge areas, a romantic canoe ride, and an impeccably styled tent reception, this wedding had everything we love about outdoor summer weddings!

The Couple:

Arielle and Bennett

The Wedding:

Robinswood House, Bellevue, Washington

The most important thing for us was the location so that our extended family could be there. We chose Bellevue because it was centrally located for nearly everyone, it’s where we grew up, and it’s a beautiful area!

The moment I knew it was going to be in Bellevue, I knew I wanted a venue that felt like it was in the woods. My husband and I both love soul music and we went with a very bright, retro, eclectic look for everything. I wanted it to feel like a Wes Anderson summer camp mixed with mid-century touches. Light blue-green, orange, and ivory with gold accents played a big part in the details.

When I was working on floral concepts with Layered Vintage, all I knew is that I envisioned wildflowers. We talked about the look of the ceremony and, since I wanted her to run with it, she told me that the design was going to be a surprise. When I walked down the aisle, there was a giant semi-circle installation of wildflowers that were spread across the grass in front of huge green trees. I was so surprised and couldn’t have been more elated. It was my dream ceremony!

Working with our photographer, Michelle, was a dream come true! Her excitement and passion shined through at every location and it felt like we were right in step with each other. We had a full day of shooting at separate locations prior to the wedding day and she had endless ideas for poses and made us feel so comfortable.

Our best advice to other couples is to find a planner you vibe with and keep a schedule. I was so lucky to be able to work with Gather Events on not only the timeline and details but the design aspects, as well. We were on the same page with everything! Just enjoy being engaged, and ask for help when you need it.

This Chic Frontier Farwest Fishing Lodge Wedding is Anything But Rustic

June 21, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

When trying to find ways to make their small town wedding at Frontier Farwest Fishing Lodge stand apart, Naomi and Jacob tapped into their minimalist and natural styles to create a day that was truly unforgettable! Rather than a color palette, the bride used her favorite florals and tons of greenery to add pops of color and freshness. Then the couple added handmade wood tables/benches and antique pieces to round out the minimalist decor. In keeping with the laid-back feel, Naomi rocked an Alexandra Grecco dress with a greenery crown and king protea bouquet created by Larkspur Floral. We seriously can’t stop staring at all the romantic moments and dreamy details The Toths Photo & Film captured from this special day!

The Couple:

Naomi and Jacob

The Wedding:

Frontier Farwest Fishing Lodge, Smithers, British Columbia, Canada

The most important part of planning our wedding was that it was unique. We live in a small town and everything tends to be the same because there aren’t many resources. So, we really wanted to make our day stand apart.

The most memorable part of the day was the ceremony. We wrote our own vows and had the most amazing officiant! It was so well suited to us a couple.

I never thought I would be the girl to have a barn style wedding. It was a hidden gem, no one had really known anything about it. It was a 100-year-old barn that had been refurbished using all the original slats. It was so simple and beautiful. It was an instant yes!

We kept our decor simple but Jacob’s dad made all the tables and benches, and Jacob and I stained them. My mom and I did all the flowers — really, it was mostly my mom…that woman did it all! I also have some pretty special people with great taste and borrowed a lot of antiques for the decor.

I knew my wedding dress as soon as I saw it! It was so simple, and I felt like I was wearing pajamas. I felt like my look was all about the dress, and I wore some pretty simple jewelry that was Leah Alexandra, which just added perfectly. I wore a leafy crown over my hair that my lovely MOH made. I didn’t decide to wear it until the second I walked out the door, and I am so glad I did! As for shoes, they didn’t last long — I was running around in bare feet all night, aside from the ceremony.
