The Colorful Streets of Positano Set the Scene for This Intimate Destination Wedding in Italy

February 1, 2020 | Junebug Weddings

Nancy and Tim’s intimate destination wedding in Italy is giving us all those pitter patter-y, romantic feels. The day before their wedding, the couple adventured on the Amalfi Coast with Henry Tieu Photography to capture some purely epic photos. This allowed Nancy to wear two different dresses (every bride’s dream!). For the day-before session she wore Sarah Seven and her wedding day dress was a fabulous lace-backed number by Enzoani. We’re swooning over all the colorful streets and Italian reception decor. If you’ve been dreaming of an intimate destination wedding in Italy, this is the one to draw all your inspiration from!

The Couple:

Nancy & Tim

The Wedding:

Positano, Italy

Last minute, we decided to take photos the day before our wedding. It was all improv, we got on a boat before sunset and our photographer Henry, took out his drone and took the most amazing picture.

Italy was experiencing a heat wave while we were there. Our wedding day was one of the most hottest days we experienced. The power went out and everyone had to get ready in the dark without electricity and AC. You can’t tell in the pictures but everyone was sweaty AF.

The whole day was an emotional roller coaster. From getting ready, reciting our vowels, walking down the streets of Positano, eating and dancing the night away was unforgettable. Getting married in Positano was an awe in itself.

After going back and forth about having a big wedding, we decided to jump the gun and elope with an intimate destination wedding in Italy. With only 5 months of planning, we wanted to just have fun and go with the flow. The most important thing to us was everyone having a good time. Having such a small group of friends travel across the world for us was more than we could ask for. It was everyone’s first time in Positano so we wanted to make it memorable.

After searching for countless venues we settled on La Tagliata, with private terraces overlooking the Amalfi Coast. A family run restaurant serving farm to table dishes, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity on a real Italian dinner.

Congratulations, Nancy and Tim! We’re forever grateful for Henry Tieu Photography sharing their incredible and intimate destination wedding in Italy with Junebug! Planning a destination wedding of your own?

This Gorge Crest Vineyards Wedding Features the Most Stunning Handmade Gown

January 31, 2020 | Junebug Weddings

Kali and Eric’s day at Gorge Crest Vineyards was not only breathtaking, but super sentimental with family helping DIY everything from their boho wooden ceremony arch to the bride’s stunning handmade gown. In addition to their family’s talents, the couple hired MH Events PDX to help them pull off a day that would be enjoyed by all of their loved ones surrounded by incredible aesthetics and decor! We’re obsessed with Kali’s babes’ gold, shimmery dresses from Baltic Born. Fun fact: They were comfy enough to get down on the dance floor (a major pro in our book!). If you’re into emotional first looks and couple’s portraits that are fire, you’re sure to love every moment Kayla Esparza Photograph captured of Kali and Eric’s sweet wedding day!

The Couple:

Kali + Eric

The Wedding:

Gorge Crest Vineyards, Underwood, Washington

My aunt made my wedding dress! I got to design it with her and it turned out even better than I could have imagined. My style is pretty simple and timeless and I wanted that to be reflected in my wedding dress. For something fun and unexpected, I accessorized with blue suede shoes.

We wanted our wedding to be reflective of our personal style but most importantly we wanted it to be a great time for us and our guests. The majority of our guests traveled to be there and we wanted to make sure we all had the best time celebrating our love.

My bridesmaids were in a simple neutral/gold dress that looked amazing on everyone. Most importantly, it was comfy enough for them to still get down on the dance floor! The groomsmen were in grey slacks, white button downs and brown leather suspenders. We wanted to keep their outfits on the casual side and the suspenders a big hit! (The suspenders were gifted from Eric and were personalized with their initials – so fun!)

All of our vendors were incredible! Our photographer, Kayla Esparza is absolutely amazing – I mean look at those photos. She helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera and ensured that we got all the pictures that we wanted/needed. We are over the moon with the photos she gave us and can’t wait to look over them and remember the best day of our lives for years to come.

Kali‘s dad and mom were the MVPs of DIY at our wedding! My dad is amazingly handy and custom built our wedding arch, donut wall, handmade all the signs and easels, AND the corn hole. My mom helped with decor items such as the signs, mason jars, etc.
