Gorgeous Pastel Peach and Mint Indian Fusion Wedding at Graystone Quarry

August 8, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Pujita and Tom’s Tennessee wedding at Graystone Quarry was a beautiful fusion of cultures and styles! Unlike many of the Indian weddings we see, they used a muted color palette for a totally organic and slightly whimsical springtime wedding feel. Then they added bohemian details, nods to Pujita’s work as a zookeeper, and handmade favors to round out the personal and sentimental feeling. We love that their ceremony space was technically indoors but was open-air to make it feel one with nature. We also can’t get enough of these images captured by Allie Chambers Photography, who managed to capture every moment with a remarkable awareness of the intimacy the couple wanted to evoke on their special day.

The Couple:

Pujita and Tom

The Wedding:

Graystone Quarry, Franklin, Tennessee

We made our ceremony a mix of Indian and American. Tom walked into the ceremony surrounded by friends and family in a Baraat with a Dholna drummer. Once everyone was seated there was a Ganesha puja. Afterwards, we had a guitar player play the processional song with our flower girl, ring bearer and then myself walking in. We asked the Indian priest to speed up the ceremony so it was shorter. Right after the Indian portion, we had two of our friends officiate a short American portion where we exchanged vows.

We gave our guests milkweed and wildflower seed bombs made by Tom‘s mom. I wanted to give the guests something meaningful — not just another item to have in their house. I’m a zookeeper, so conservation is very important to me. Milkweed seed bombs are a great way to create Monarch butterfly habitats!

Mid-Century Mercury Hall Wedding with Southwestern Influence and Austin, Texas Vibes

August 7, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

When Austinites Stephanie and Jake decided to tie the knot, there was no denying that the historic charm of a Mercury Hall wedding was the only way to go! The mid-century modern inspired space was the perfect backdrop for them and their talented team of vendors to create an unimaginably beautiful day, complete with Southwest-inspired decor and florals designed by Davy Gray in a palette of desert sunset hues. Their ceremony looked like it was transplanted directly from the desert with grasses and florals bursting from every angle. But can we please talk about Stephanie’s bridal look? That layered gown from Odylyne the Ceremony. That chunky headband and veil combo. Her natural makeup. It was all perfection! And Gloria Goode Photography captured it all brilliantly!
