One of the first steps in wedding planning is to prioritize, and today’s stylish newlyweds, Kim and Steve, had no trouble determining their most important priorities! Above all else, they wanted to be surrounded by love and family on their incredible wedding day. They managed to do exactly that, and they also found ways to include a gorgeous metallic color palette, some stunning fashion, and a lot of glamorous details!

The Goals: The first priority for Kim and Steve was to be able to invite everyone that they wanted to celebrate with on their important day, both family and friends. They worked hard to make sure that their budgeting and planning would allow for this. After that, it was all about having an easy, enjoyable celebration, so their wedding planner, Gina Sole, was an absolute must! And finally, they knew that they would treasure their wedding photos, so selecting photographers Justin and Mary was another big priority. In retrospect, the couple felt that hiring this talented team was the best decision they made during the planning process!

The Design: Philadelphia’s weather can be unpredictable in February, so Kim and Steve held both the ceremony and reception downtown at The Hyatt at The Bellevue so that guests would not have to brave the elements traveling between locations. And while their ceremony took place at the hotel, it was particularly special because they were married by the pastor of Kim’s church, which she has attended since she was a toddler! The beautiful ballroom of The Hyatt inspired the color palette of blue, grey, and ivory with accents of gold; and the vintage look that was so fitting in the gorgeous room.

The Look: Kim put together a bridal look that was classic and elegant, and had fun indulging her self-described “shoe-nista” tendencies! She loved her dress that made her feel like a princess, but her favorite part of her look was a special pair of sparkling Louboutins. She adores getting to wear those amazing shoes on a regular basis now.

For her bridesmaids, Kim choose flattering, flowing jersey dresses that were both comfortable and elegant. The men were stylishly attired in classic suits with special Gucci ties chosen by Steve.

The Moments: The wedding day was filled with special moments that the couple will treasure forever. Kim described walking down the aisle as completely surreal! Their first look was so special, as Steve made his bride feel like she was the only one in the room. And during the couple’s first dance, their children broke away from their grandparents and gleefully joined Kim and Steve on the dance floor for a sweet moment that made for precious memories and photos!

From the bride, Suzanne: Looking back on the day it brings back wonderful memories. It was more than we could have ever imagined or wished for. To have all our loved ones, friends and family with us in Paris was truly magical! Paris has always been special to us as we spent some great times in the City of Light when we were dating. The city is truly one of the most beautiful in the world. We wanted to capture the architecture and mood of the city which we love so much.

Anne Mulvihill of Fête in France was the maestro in pulling the wedding together for us as we live in Ireland and could only get to Paris every few months prior to the event. With her expertise and contacts she pulled it altogether. She was wonderful! For that we will be forever grateful.

Our photographers Kevin and Katie – well, where do I start? From the first moment we met them we all just clicked. Our visions of what we wanted to catch on camera were very much in sync. They helped put Paul and I at ease from the time they showed up in the morning right through until 1am the next day! They worked extremely hard in capturing the atmosphere on the wedding. All my family and friends have been blown away by their talent, grace and sheer work ethic. We think the photographs really speak for themselves capturing the magic of the day. We are looking forward to seeing them in June as they are photographing my sister’s wedding too!

From photographers Kevin and Katie Hulett of K Hulet Photography: This destination European wedding was that of the beautiful Irish couple, Suzanne and Paul. I don’t know when we’ve laughed more, or been hugged and squeezed more than we were at this wedding. Imagine a crowd of the friendliest, happiest, loudest people–and then double it–and you’ll get an idea of this couple’s wedding celebration. On the night before the wedding the family met at a bar in Sainte Germain. It was a great celebration. The next morning the wedding day started off in Suzanne and Pauls right-bank apartment. Paul spent hours on the phone trying to find one with a view of the Eiffel Tower for Suzanne, who loves it so much. The Tower view was as amazing as you could imagine and right outside her balcony window. The chapel that they were married in was the Sainte Clotilde, in Sainte Germain. It was one of the most detail minded chapels that we have ever been to. After the ceremony we walked Paris and got some city shots and then on to La Maison des Polytechniciens, a very difficult venue to tie down in Paris. You have to either be an engineer or be related to an engineer of the place to even be considered. The venue had a downstairs club room/cave that was very cool and unforgettable, where the group ended the day. Anne and Nancy, of Fete in France did an amazing job on the details of this wedding.
