Julia and Anthony were married in an intimate ceremony for their relaxed wedding at The Guildhall in Leicester, England. The bride’s understated style was an elegant choice that set the tone for the day. Photographer Tim Bishop did a lovely job of capturing the newlyweds as they exchanged vows, as well as enjoying the company of their loved ones on this special day. The blue and yellow color palette perfectly punctuated the landscape around the venue, and brought a lightness to Anthony’s uniquely printed suit.
The Couple: Julia and Anthony
The Wedding: Leicester, England
The Inspiration: “Elegant in it’s simplicity.”

The fall season evokes rich colors and changes in nature, all of which was captured in Laura and Mark’s fall elopement in Colorado. The pair felt a connection to Kenosha Pass from previous visits, and knew they wanted to exchange their vows in the scenic mountains. Adventurous photographer Kathryn Bacalis of Our Love is Loud was willing to hike alongside the newlyweds as they embraced and shared glasses of beer. We love how the golden Aspen trees perfectly match the bubbling beer for their first toast as a married couple. Laura’s wedding attire may be non-traditional, but she’s an incredibly elegant bride. She and Mark spent their wedding day exactly how they envisioned it, thanks to the help of Our Love is Loud.
The Couple: Laura and Mark
The Wedding: Kenosha Pass, Colorado
The Inspiration: “Rapturous. I didn’t want all the hallmark “stuff” of a wedding–just raw emotion, lush colors and an undeniable sense of adventure. Mark and I were actually planning a wedding for the following summer. I even bought a white wedding dress, but as soon as I got it home, I knew it wasn’t what I wanted at all. I don’t like huge events or stuffy, traditional events.
I’ve always loved the fall, and Kenosha Pass is a place where Mark and I had previously hiked and enjoyed mountaintop mimosas at sunrise, overlooking the fall foliage. I knew I wanted to go back there. So I bought a new dress–one that I loved–and two weeks later, we got married in the woods.”
The Moment: “Toasting with delicious beer while sitting in a grove of blazing yellow aspen trees. I didn’t think I would be so nervous saying my vows, considering it was just the two of us, but I was so overcome with emotion that it was a lot more intense than I anticipated. Sitting with Mark while we sipped on a delicious beer was the first moment where I felt myself relax, and I could really enjoy celebrating with my new husband.”
The Couple Recommends: “Kathryn from Our Love is Loud was amazing to work with. We had planned a photo shoot for the following year, before our wedding, but she was able to reschedule and make it work with our last-minute elopement. PLUS, she had no problem hiking with us out in the woods!”
Thank you to Our Love is Loud for sending over such incredibly beautiful images, and to Laura and Mark for sharing your intimate and remarkable wedding with Junebug. For more Colorado elopement inspiration, check out Megan and Ross’ romantic elopement in the woods.
We were so excited when Italy’s Purewhite Photography shared a fun anniversary session in Rome with adorable couple Maria and Thomas. The pair gallivanted around Rome, Elisa Perotti and her camera in tow, holding hands and gazing into each other’s eyes. We love how the couple’s outfits perfectly complemented the surroundings, taking these images to a higher level of artistry. Purewhite Photography aims to turn emotions into light, and the beautiful light during this shoot was just as enthusiastically romantic as Maria and Thomas’ love.
Thank you so much to Purewhite Photography for sharing these beautiful images, and to Maria and Thomas for sharing their anniversary with Junebug. For more Italian couple portraits, you have to see Caroline and Daniel’s adventurous destination post-wedding session in Italy.
