We are all about that golden feathered headband. It adds the perfect amount of glam to this bride’s simple, yet elegant, ensemble. Also, if you’re looking to repeat this shoot’s color palette, don’t forget to add teal and electric blue to your warmer oranges, yellows, and reds; that color combination stole the show in this shoot.

From Elizabeth Haase – “This styled shoot was photographed at the Granite Dells in Prescott, AZ. We wanted to show how even in the desert, where fall is hard to come by, that a bride can simply add a few DIY details to give their wedding a unique fall look wherever their wedding is taking place. We chose to accentuate the brown and green found in the desert with pops of gold, blue, and orange. Place settings are a combination of thrift store finds and Anthropologie.”

Thanks to Elizabeth Haase for sharing this gorgeous shoot with us! For more autumn looks and trends, check out the Junebug Fall Fashion Forecast.

Mamma Mia Inspired Italian Destination Wedding

September 15, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

Italian wedding stylish couple's portrait

Hoping for an Italian wedding just like her parents had since she was a little girl, Natasha and Neil’s Italian destination wedding was an actual dream come true. The rustic venue, fashionable wedding party style, and heartfelt details struck the perfect balance of vintage charm and glamour. Peggy Picot of Maison Pestea Photography captured their Italian destination dream wedding beautifully.

The Couple: Natasha and Neil

The Wedding: Borgo di Tragliata, Rome, Italy

The Inspiration: My wedding vision was rustic elegance. I love vintage, lace and old Italian charm. I am also a real girly girl and love all things glamour so it was important for me to reflect elegance in my wedding decor theme too! Our wedding venue was perfect for my rustic wedding theme. The grounds of the venue are beautiful and breathtaking and the little church on the top of the hill was like a scene straight out of the ‘Mamma Mia’ movie!

What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? Hailing from South Carolina and loving Charleston, I knew I wanted to marry Jeremy there among our family and friends. The gorgeous low country waterway and spanish moss among the trees added to the romance and classic charm we wanted to express.

Our menu by Cru Catering was the best food (not just wedding food) I’ve ever had. We incorporated my Southern roots with dishes like shrimp and grits and Jeremy’s California roots with mini fish tacos.

Framed pictures of our family members as newlyweds greeted our guests when they arrived. Mini champagne bottles covered in gold glitter were passed out upon arrival; I wanted the celebrating and toasting to start immediately. Guests signed a cookbook so that as we used it in the future, we’d constantly be reading sweet messages from our nearest and dearest.

My best friend and Maid of Honor, Carol Hannah, was also my dress designer. It was surreal dreaming of my ideal wedding dress and then watching her work her magic.

We were extremely blessed with many talented hands who helped to make our day special and very personal.

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? One of my favorite memories will always be with my Maid of Honor, Carol Hannah. Right before the cake cutting, we changed out my tulle skirt for a full-length sequin one. It was fabulous. Unfortunately, I had stretched out the top of my dress from having so much fun all day (aka sweat) so she ended up having to sew me into the second skirt. We were in the bathroom so long that people definitely started noticing and pounding on the door. It was such a sweet time with my best friend, so funny and awkward, and just so us.

By far my favorite moment was stealing away with Jeremy near the end of the night. We went out on the dock, which was lit up so lovely in the night, and sat on the bench swing. We shared our late night snack, laughed and just reveled in being married.

What piece of advice would you give to a bride planning her wedding today? Hire your friends. But really, we all have some sort of talent. Your family and friends want to share in your joy and the planning process, so allow them to help you in whatever way they can. When the wedding day comes, you will be surrounded by so many reminders of the love enveloping you and your husband, every moment will be amplified with encouragement. Most importantly, remember that you are preparing for a lifetime of unity so put away the wedding details to spend time talking and listening to your fiance and growing closer.
