Forest Wedding in South Africa

February 25, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Forest-Wedding-South-Africa-Kikitography (33 of 44)

Elegance and glamour may not be the most obvious ways to describe a forest, but Daniella and Nathan’s wedding showcases most beautifully the romantic elements nature has to offer. From her tiered lace dress to her protea-centered bouquet, Daniella’s bridal style perfectly complemented her rustic surroundings. Kikitography captured the dreamy effortlessness of the forest wedding, including the cozy reception hall, which was decorated from floor to ceiling with rustic elements.

The Couple:

Daniella and Nathan

The Wedding:

Florence Guest Farm, Mpumalanga, South Africa

The Inspiration:

The theme of our wedding was one of simplicity with a casual rustic elegance. It involved stripping the wedding bells and whistles in favor of organic inspired decor to match the nostalgic romance of the forest. The rustic wedding chic attire matched the light-hearted fun we wanted on our wedding day.

As if these still images weren’t enough, we’re lucky enough to have the wedding film from Daniella and Nathan’s incredible forest wedding, as captured by Bravo&Thatcher

The Moments:

Our favourite moment was the small dance off we decide to do during the couple photo session after saying our vows. The endless laughter and fun we had completely epitomizes who we are, what memories we wanted to take with us and the reflection of love we share.

The Couple Recommends:

Our photographer and videographer did such a great job incorporating their styles with how we wanted to remember our day and they just simply have given us priceless memories.

Glamorous Winter Wedding at the Millennium Centre

February 24, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Glamorous-Millenium-Centre-Wedding-Modern-Pixel (15 of 35)

Unexpected wedding venues are at the top of our list of favorite things, making Ailish and Ryan’s glamorous winter wedding an absolute winner with two timeless venue choices. The day began at Gurevich Fine Art for an intimate ceremony among the artwork, followed by a classy reception at Millennium Centre. The winter fashion choices are incredibly chic, including fur stoles for the ladies, deep blue ties for the men, and bright red poppies adorned on the entire wedding party. Modern Pixel Photography brilliantly took the parking garage for the wedding party portraits from common urban landscape to gritty glamorous backdrop, capturing sweet moments between the soon-to-be husband and wife before they said “I do!”

The Couple:

Ailish and Ryan

The Wedding:

Millennium Centre, Winnipeg, Manitoba

The Inspiration:

Simple, rustic and elegant. The venue where we had the wedding is an old bank building so it has all this beautiful marble and brass. We wanted to really stick with that so we kept the wedding decorations very simple and I went with a lace wedding dress and bird cage veil because it really fit the timeless nature of the venue.

The Moments:

The whole day was amazing from start to finish. I’d heard so many people say they were so stressed out on their wedding day because they were worried something would go wrong. We had the opposite feeling. (Probably because we had such awesome people helping us out!) We had so much fun. I think if we had to pick a favorite moment, it would have been the moment right after the ceremony, when we got to go out and greet our friends and family and toast the day. It was so nice seeing all the people you love come together.
