Inspired by vintage cinema set in charming Italy, Caroline and Martyn’s romantic destination wedding on the Amalfi Coast was an undeniably dreamy celebration. Photographed by Cinzia Bruschini, the elegant black tie affair took place in the Belvedere Principessa di Piemonte, which provided the understated elegance of the rustic Italian spirit Caroline envisioned. We love that her bridal style gives a subtle nod to Audrey Hepburn, with her soft brunette bun, deep red lip, and demure wedding fashion.
The Couple: Caroline and Martyn
The Wedding: Belvedere Principessa di Piemonte, Amalfi Coast, Italy
The Inspiration: “I love old black and white movies like Roman Holiday. I wanted that timeless look and feel with classic romance. On our big day I wanted to feel like a film star, like Audrey Hepburn. We chose to get married in a little town called Ravello on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. This beautiful place has a breathtaking back drop with such a rich history of artists, film stars, writers and musicians. For one day, my dreams became reality. We went for a black tie wedding, romantic setting, with an elegant and classic touch. My colours were blush pink, ivory and pale green. My bouquet was pale pink peonies. Our ceremony took place in the beautiful Garden Principessa di Piemonte followed by our reception at the stunning Villa Cimbrone in Ravello. We felt this magical place captured what we were after. With us both being designers, we were very focused on what we wanted and how we could set out to achieve it. We couldn’t of been happier on the day, our inspiration came from what we love and what makes us, ‘us’. We designed all our stationary and we took the whole look and feel across every last element.”
We’re so excited to be able to show you the film version of Caroline and Martyn’s wedding story, captured by the exceedingly talented Luigi De Gregorio.
The Moments: “My favourite moment from our beautiful wedding day was listening to my husbands vows. He blew me away and made me so incredibly proud, I felt like I fell in love with him all over again. The second best moment was seeing all my family and friends together, it was such a happy moment.”
The Couple Recommends: “I can not recommend highly enough the talents of Cinzia Bruschini our photographer. The professionalism, creative talent and true kindness was greatly received. They captured us and our day perfectly. We are forever in their debt. I would also like to mention the incredible talent Luigi De Gregorio. Cinzia and Luigi have allowed us to re-live our beautiful day over and over again.”
