Jo and Johnny dreamed of a clean and airy wedding with lots of natural light. The huge beautiful windows of Court in the Square in Seattle, Washington allowed the couple to be surrounded with the warm glow of sunlight on their big day. The bridesmaids wore soft gray-green gowns and held cream, purple and lavender florals, which matched the bride’s bouquet. The natural elements, gorgeous brick walls and outdoor feel gave this wedding a cafe inspired look that was incredibly unique and expertly planned by Manette Gracie Weddings & Events. The Inspiration:
Open, airy, and clean. When I first saw the venue, I immediately visualized the rustic cobblestone and draping greenery as the setting to an outdoor Parisian cafe. I wanted lush white florals and cafe lighting within this sun-drenched open space. My mother was the mastermind behind all of the floral arrangements, down to the bouquets and suspended dendrobium orchids within the archway. The wedding attire was kept neutral and cool, within the urban yet lovely setting of Pioneer Square.
The Moments:
Seeing all of our family, friends, and out-of-towners was definitely a highlight to the entire day. Having so many of our loved ones in a single room was quite an incredible experience; I kept saying to Johnny, “When will we ever have all these people in the same room again? Never!” It was a pretty amazing yet surreal feeling.
There were definitely some other exciting moments for me: the “getting ready” experience with my bridal party and walking up toward Johnny for the first time. We both loved the mingling and dancing towards the end of the night, and of course, Johnny loved the late night pizza which was probably one of the best reception decisions we made.
