Your wedding should be a reflection of the things you love and enjoy together, which is exactly why Jennifer and Guillaume drew inspiration from their love of music festivals for their French wedding. The festival wedding took place at the family home, a beautiful backyard, which was filled with DIY and vintage elements to complete the festival theme. Our favorite moments captured by photographer Jean-Laurent Gaudy took place during the ceremony, both intimate and natural.
The Couple:
Jennifer and Guillaume
The Wedding:
Private Residence, Burgalays, Haute Garonne, France
The Inspiration:
We live in London and we love music and festivals, so we decided to go for a festival theme. Guillaume‘s mother has a beautiful house in the south of France with an amazing garden and swimming pool, so it was the best venue for us.
The Moments:
Our favorite moment was the ceremony in the garden because it was prepared by our friends and we were totally surprised. It was full of love, emotions and laughs. It really represented who we are and what we love.
The Couple Recommends:
We were extremely happy with the photographer that spent 4 days with us. He was very discrete but at the same time very friendly and comfortable with everybody. The photos are absolutely stunning, we can’t be more happy about it. On top, he sent us by surprise a wooden box with few of the best pics from the wedding, that’s a great piece of collectible that no other photographers provide as far as we know.
The caterer was a good company also. All staff was very professional and helpful, worked very fast and discrete. The food was very good, we had received many compliments about them from the guests.
Thanks to Jean-Laurent Gaudy for allowing Junebug to share Jennifer and Guillaume’s fun festival wedding! For more backyard wedding inspiration, be sure to check out Nina and Dana’s outdoor wedding in Rhode Island.
We often hear that couples want to plan a wedding that truly reflects their relationship and personality. Nadia and Colin took the theme of “them” to the next level by planning Nadia and Colin’s Tie The Knot Tour, complete with original songs, outdoor games, and personal elements throughout the lavender wedding decor. Sachin Khona Photographer was invited along for the ride, where he captured such stunning images of the newlyweds from I Do to happily forever after.
We are very personable and creative people and we wanted our wedding to be just that. All about the two of us, our story and the love we share for each other. Everything from the invitations, decor, seating chart, music, and lawn games, was all personalized. Our invitations were CD’s of us telling stories of our favourite songs and what they meant to us. Of course, two of the songs on the CD were original songs from Colin and one was a song we wrote together.
The Moments:
That is the hardest question for us to answer. The whole day was magical and amazing! Every moment had it’s personal memory and we can’t think of only one thing that stands out. Highlights were Colin surprising Nadia with lanterns that we made a wish upon and let them go in the sky during sunset. Colin also surprised Nadia with a song explaining their whole story during his speech.
