Cocktail Collage

Choosing a signature cocktail for your wedding is just one more way to create a unique celebration for you and your guests. Whether you love gin, vodka, or tequila, adding a splash of bubbly to your drink of choice is an easy way to add more sparkle to your cocktail hour and reception! We’ve partnered with Freixenet, the world’s largest producer of Spanish Cava, to bring you 3 delectable signature cocktail choices using Freixenet’s famous Cava. Each of these signature cocktail recipes is simple, delicious and perfect for your wedding day drink!

Sparkling Wine Margaritas

Everyone loves a good margarita, especially one with a little fizz and sugar sprinkles! The best part about this cocktail is that you can personalize the sugar sprinkles to match your wedding colors if needed.

Freixenet Champagne Original Size-6

Recipe (makes 6 margaritas):

1 Cup White Tequila
2/3 Cup Lime Juice
1/3 Cup Agave Nectar
1-1/2 Cups Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut
Sugar Sprinkles
Lime Slices or Peels to Garnish

Sugar Rim:

Wet the rim of your glass with lime juice. Pour sugar sprinkles onto surface and run the rim of your glass through sprinkles.

Freixenet Champagne Original Size-7

Raspberry Limoncello

This is such a tart drink, but the Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut pairs perfectly with the lemon, and the raspberries add more sweetness and color to this refreshing cocktail!

Freixenet Champagne Original Size-18

Recipe (makes 1 pitcher):

3 Cups Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut, Chilled
1 Cup Limoncello Liqueur, Chilled
1 Cup Frozen Raspberries
1 Lemon Peel to Garnish
1 Sprig of Rosemary to Garnish

We suggest placing raspberries in first!

Freixenet Champagne Original Size-17

Sparkling Wine Sherbet Float

If your wedding is during the summer, your guests will be raving about this cocktail. Reminiscent of a Dreamcicle, the sparkling wine sherbet float is light and fruity! We suggest adding a dollop of whip cream to top this yummy concoction off!

Freixenet Champagne Original Size-12

Recipe (makes roughly 6-8 servings):

Freixenet Cordon Negro Brut, Chilled
1 Container Orange Sherbet
1 Can Whipping Cream

***3-5 scoops of sherbet per flute!

If you’re looking for more ways to add sparkle to your wedding day, be sure to checkout the Freixenet Wedding Board. Don’t forget to use Freixenet products when incorporating sparkling wine into your signature cocktail. We just love that classic Freixenet taste when mixed with fruity flavors, and your guests will surely love to celebrate your love with a sparkly cocktail!

Pink and Yellow Wedding at Rittenhouse Hotel

April 17, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Pink-and-Yellow-Wedding-at-Rittenhouse-Hotel (7 of 22)

Judith and Aarao met while studying abroad in Israel, and it was love at first sight. Though she was from Philadelphia and he was from Brazil, their love for each other eventually overcame the distance. Their wedding at Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia flourished with deep pink, yellow and orange colors. The bride wore a gorgeous, flowing wedding gown that resembled the effortless relationship between the sweet couple. Asya Photography expertly captured the incredible moments from this pink and yellow wedding.

The Couple:

Judith and Aarao

The Wedding:

Rittenhouse Hotel, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Inspiration:

It was Moroccan themed (my dad is from Morocco; it’s an inspiring place for me), which meant lots of lanterns, and purple, pink, orange and gold colored cloths and flowers. Instead of place cards, we bought over 100 tea cups from Turkey (in different colors), filled them with Jordan almonds, and tied the place cards onto the sides of the cup. My mom’s idea. Worked out beautifully.

The Moments:

We hired an AMAZING Brazilian band called Philly Bloco; a 20 piece samba band with over 10 percussionists. They entered with giant samba drums strapped to their chests, banging out incredible beats, and then jumped on stage and gave the best samba performance you’ll find outside of Brazil. We danced all night. They totally knocked everyone’s socks off… into space. That’s how amazing they were. People’s socks flew into space.

The Couple Recommends:

Asya Photography. Asya and her team were nothing short of amazing. She was not only professional, but extremely accommodating. Anything we wanted she made happen. And if it couldn’t be done, she found a way to get it done somehow. I highly recommend her for any brides out there.

Colorful Hair Accessories:

Bridal crowns aren’t what we’re predicting this year. We can’t wait to see more colorful florals uniquely placed throughout the bride’s hair. This whimsical look adds a touch of color to a bride’s overall look.

Repurposed Gowns:

Truly creating a one-of-a-kind day, brides who wear wedding gowns made from other once used items showcase a unique look that would be found nowhere else. Whether the items be sentimental or not, the dress is sure to be an original. Top-designers have already jumped on the trend! Joelle Perry created a repurposed gown using a 1940’s table cloth.
