While most engagement sessions are intimate by nature, Iceland has a way of making you feel like you’re truly the only people on Earth. Heiðdís and Einar traveled to Iceland for an engagement shoot in the majestic landscape where Capyture documented the couple taking in every inch of the terrain’s incredible beauty. Even in spite of the chill and wind, these images give off a sense of warmth that is positively captivating.

A delicate blush and ivory color palette added the perfect touch of romance to Julia and Stephen’s British Columbia farm wedding. Van Loon Farms and its vast fields sit just beneath a magnificent range of mountains, providing an extraordinary backdrop for the couple’s outdoor ceremony. Jennifer Armstrong Photography so elegantly captured the natural beauty of the farm, along with the loveliest images of Julia and Stephen celebrating their first moments together as husband and wife.

The Inspiration:
Rustic, classic, romantic, natural. The farm where we were got married was so beautiful with expansive fields, big bales of hay and old farm buildings set against the backdrop of mountains. We let it steal the show and did minimal decor including picking and arranging wild flowers. My lace, off-white dress reflected my classic style and the shades of blush in the bridesmaids’ dresses, groomsmen’s bow ties, and other details added a hint of romance.
The Moments:
Stephen: Our first dance. We were so worried we would be clumsy and awkward but when “What is Life” by George Harrison came on, we were so full of love (and just enough wine)it was the most natural thing we could be doing. It was very surprising. And beautiful.
Julia: The speeches because they were so heartfelt and filled with laughter. They really captured our friends and family’s love for us and our love for each other.
The Couple Recommends:
Our photographer, Jennifer, felt like a part of our family and made us all feel comfortable. I think our photos really reflect that. Marty and Andrea who opened up their beautiful farm and home to us made it a more beautiful day than we could have even imagined. Ola and Nicole at Flock Events, our day-of-cordinators, made everything seem easy and seamless. Lastly, our caterer John at Collective Kitchen perfectly understood our passion for delicious, local food and made a dinner that we’re all still talking about.
Central Park is a practical and beautiful destination spot for couples staying stateside, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect ceremony location for Laura and Ryan’s intimate Brooklyn wedding. The chic couple were joined by their closest loved ones for a garden ceremony, followed by a double-decker bus ride to the Wythe Hotel for a cozy reception among friends. Before the newlyweds headed back to the hotel for their first dance and a slice of cake, Shaun Menary Photography took them to the Brooklyn Bridge for a romantic photo shoot in the golden sunset.
We both wanted the entire experience to feel simple and timeless. The wedding was at the Conservatory Garden in Central Park, and the reception was at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn. Both venues are incredibly beautiful, so we needed very little decor. We did have beautiful flowers done by an amazing floral designer, Gro Designs, who happens to be Ryan‘s cousin.
The Moments:
We rented a double decker bus to transport the entire group from Central Park to Brooklyn. We travelled through the city, music blaring, wind in our hair. It was such a fun and memorable moment to share with our friends and family.
