Julia and Ali’s waterfront engagement near Marseille proves that a little romance and a lot of love can warm up even the coldest days. The couple showed up to the rocky shore dressed to the nines and spent some quiet time together just embracing and taking in the beauty of the scenery as Laurent Brouzet Photography captured these exceptional images.
When a girl from Texas gets married in California, a rustic glam wedding is the perfect marriage of her two lifestyles. Tami and CJ said “I do” at Union Hill Inn in front of their friends and family in a gorgeous indoor ceremony surrounded by twinkling gold light and flowers in autumnal shades. Paco & Betty beautifully captured the fun-filled celebration from each perfectly placed botanical detail designed by Scarlett & Grace to joyous moments shared by the newlyweds and their guests.
I am originally from Texas, lived there half my life and the West Coast (mostly San Francisco) the other half. I have worn cowboy boots for as long as I can remember, even on the West Coast, so I knew that I wanted a rustic feel. However, I also own a women’s and kids clothing line, Sovereign Strong, and have worked in the fashion industry since before college. With that said, I wanted our wedding to be chic with great design at the same time, so we called it “rustic chic”. One of my bridesmaids (and the friend who flew to Seattle to help me find my wedding dress) did the design work. She and her husband are the founders of Jack and Ginger – they plan and design weddings and they are amazing at it! She knows my personality well and was able to nail every aspect of the look and feel we were going for.
The Moments:
My favorite moment of the wedding was the ceremony. We had most of our loved ones in one room. CJ has a way with words when it comes to speaking his heart and I have never felt so loved and appreciated in all my life. My brother officiated the ceremony, we had our siblings and their kids in the wedding and our brother in law sang and played guitar. Being able to hear CJ‘s words and see both of our parent’s and sibling’s faces as we shared that moment was priceless. Don’t get me wrong, the reception was a total blast – it was during the World Series and I’m a huge SF Giants fan, so we had score updates after every run. The Giants ended up winning that night (phew) and then winning the whole series while we were on our honeymoon. I can’t think of one thing that went wrong on our wedding day – it was very special and will remain my favorite day ever!
The Couple Recommends:
I have to say that: Paco and Betty, Events Extraordinaire, Jack and Ginger, Scarlett and Grace, Mike’s Branding Iron BBQ, and Paul’s Rustic Oven stood out from the crowd. They made our day special and perfect for everyone who attended. Especially for CJ and me.
Thanks to Paco & Betty for sharing such stunning images with Junebug! The wood, the lights, and the romance all came together to make Tami and CJ’s wedding an irresistibly glamorous and rustic affair. Every image from Rebecca and Gary’s wedding brings a smile to our face, from the subtle Alice in Wonderland themed décor to the bubbling moments of excitement between the bride and groom on their wedding day. As if the treats bar at their reception weren’t sweet enough, Claire Penn Photography captured absolutely precious photographs of Rebecca and Gary’s traditional church ceremony and first moments together as a married couple.
My inspiration mainly came from Pinterest, I would have been totally lost without it. I wanted to go with a rustic/vintage style wedding with lots of love hearts, pink and bunting plus lots of country garden flowers and candles. I was on Pinterest every day and Esy was another site for inspiration. I just wanted everything to be really pretty!
The Moments:
Walking down the isle with my Grandad looking at Gary, very emotional and breathtaking. My Grandad is my world so it meant the world to me to have him there, one moment that I will take with me for the rest of my life is waiting for the wedding car holding my Grandad’s hand.
The Couple Recommends:
Claire Penn, our photographer, was AMAZING. Claire captured the day so beautifully. The photographs were one thing that we were really looking forward to seeing after the wedding, they are just how we imagined. Claire is really lovely also, our guests all commented on how friendly she was.
Emma at Love Bridal was also so, so lovely. I warmed to her straight away and I just knew I wanted to buy my dress from her. She has some absolutely stunning dresses in her gorgeous, fresh white boutique. I would definitely recommend future brides to visit Emma at Love.
Is it just us, or do you have a major sweet tooth after seeing the dessert spread at Rebecca and Gary’s reception? Be sure to check out more of Claire Penn Photography‘s beautifully captured moments in Lucy and Phil’s fun and quirky wedding in England.
