When you pair one of the most incredible destinations in the world with a couple of the most talented photographers in the world, the results are bound to be stunning. Andrea and Andrew traveled to Guatemala for their sophisticated wedding at Porta Hotel Antigua. The entire celebration was captured by Daniel Diaz and Dave Paek, whose images display the extraordinary beauty of Antigua and the exceptional love shared by Andrea and Andrew.

The Couple:

Andrea and Andrew

The Wedding:

Porta Hotel Antigua, Antigua, Guatemala

The Inspiration:

We wanted to make things classy, sophisticated, yet breathtaking. The city of Antigua, Guatemala is so beautiful that it’s hard to design anything that can rival it. We decided that as abnormal as it was for us to take a step back and explain what words we would use to describe the wedding, give some color ideas, and let the experts be experts. There were some humps along the way, but our wedding planners, decorators, DJ, hotel and our incredible Photographers delivered an amazing wedding. We honestly needed up doing everything for our guests. We wanted everyone from both Guatemala, and the US to be blown away and so caught up in the wedding that the experience would be more than worth the trip.

The Moments:

Our favorite part by far was the first look. It’s where our emotions got the best of us and we both just lost it. We forgot about the pressures of our own vows, the timing, the people, etc and just got to love each other in that moment. A close second would be the last hour of the reception where everyone let loose did a few shots, danced, laughed, and had a great time together. It also signified the pressures of planning a destination wedding were officially over, and we were officially married!

The Couple Recommends:

I can’t say enough about our photographers! Daniel and Dave were exceptional, with incredible eyes, and caught every moment for 3 days. I think the pictures speak for themselves. You want the best, hire Daniel Diaz and Dave Paek, the best investment we made hands down!

Quirky Cool Bronx Zoo Wedding

June 22, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Quirky-Cool-Bronx-Zoo-Wedding-ein-photography (14 of 39)

In what might be the coolest wedding venue idea yet, Amanda and Josh said “I do” at the Bronx Zoo in front of their friends, family, and a few party animals. The couple shared a few quiet moments before walking down the aisle with the zoo’s gorillas, who we’re sure wished Amanda and Josh happiness in their new chapter together. ein photography captured these quirky moments, as well as the unique and sophisticated wedding styling including plastic animal escort cards, framed illustrations of popular zoo friends, and wild green plants abound.

The Couple:

Amanda and Josh

The Wedding:

Bronx Zoo, Bronx, New York

The Inspiration:

We got married at the Bronx Zoo in New York, so animals were a natural fit for inspiration. Courtney Jentzen, of Swiss Cottage Designs, created a playfully illustrated invitation, complete with a hand drawn map of the zoo. To carry the whimsical theme through the reception, we hired an artist to watercolor animal portraits for each table. To finish it all off, we provided animal masks for our guests to wear on the dance floor. For our clothing, we decided to go formal. We chose a Jenny Packham vintage inspired wedding gown and a Burberry Prorsum midnight blue tuxedo.

The Moments:

Prior to the ceremony we got behind the scenes access to a private viewing space in the Bronx Zoo Congo exhibit. We got to see the gorillas up close and personal, in a way not usually seen by the public. The gorillas came right up to the glass to look at us, they were just as excited to see us as we were to see them! Our photographer Tim Yun of Ein Photography captured some great moments of us and the babies.

Sunset Engagement at El Matador State Beach

June 22, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Sunset-Engagement-El-Matadr-State-Beach-Anna-Delores-Photography (1 of 25)

Those quiet moments in nature, away from the bustle of the city, are often the most romantic. Jacqueline and Ian’s El Matador State Beach engagement is the very definition of serene, beginning with a picnic in the grass and ending in the damp sand beneath the sunset. Anna Delores Photography captured the windswept hair, sun-kissed skin, and gentle embraces as the waves rolled up around Jacqueline and Ian’s toes.
