Perrine and Arnaud’s romantic garden wedding at Le Comptoir Saint Hilaire in France was filled with handmade touches and colorful wildflowers. We love how the couple incorporated bursts of color into all aspects of their wedding design. Talented photographer Marion Heurteboust perfectly captured the fun moments and amazing details at this French wedding. You have to check out the awesome candy bar!

The Couple:

Perrine and Arnaud

The Wedding:

Le Comptoir Saint Hilaire, Saint-Hilaire-de-Brethmas, France

The Inspiration:

We pictures a chic and relaxed in the countryside. We visited over 10 venues, and when we saw the “Comptoir Saint Hilaire” we simply found it perfect. The view is magical and the place in itself has so much character. It’s cosy and beautiful. The owner was very warm and welcoming. We felt at home and knew we would love to have all our family and friends here! We wanted a boho feel with lots of antique details, and flowers with a certain easiness to it. I wished for a pastoral bouquet with lots of greeneries. My wedding dress was created by Margaux Tardits. When I looked for a wedding dress I honestly wasn’t looking into custom made dresses. I had tried many designers without really falling in love with the dresses. I ended up realising I had an exact idea of what I wanted and that the best option would be custom made indeed. Margaux gives very good advice and she created the dress of my dreams! For the reception, we knew we didn’t want the traditional round tables. We wished for long wooden tables with flowers in the middle, vases of different heights. We added antique candle holders, wooden details, personalised matchboxes that the guests LOVED! Our wedding planners were very helpful realising the decoration and their ideas were precious! For our favors, we decided to have two mini bottles in a kraft envelop. The first one contained olive oil from the bride’s family property and the second one contained a typical drink from “Savoie”(which is where the groom is from), called: génépi. Each bottle had the initial of the bride and groom to symbolise the bottle. We also had personalised stickers with the logo we had made for our wedding!

The Moments:

It’s really hard to chose one moment since there was so much emotion throughout the whole day! I became emotional as soon as we got to city hall. Seeing all the people we love in one place and here for us made me tear up. It probably was the first time this ever happened. I also adored the outdoor ceremony our bridesmaids and groomsmen crafted for us. So moving. My entrance with my father by my side. Those 10 minutes we took during the party, just the two of us, to tell each other: “That’s it. We’re married!” Everything went like we dreamed it, and we enjoyed it!

The Couple Recommends:

Our advice to newly engaged couples is to enjoy it and share it with your future spouse! Those memories are amazing! Make your wedding festivities last as long as you can! We had a brunch the next day with all our guest, and, on top of that, we had our friends stay the entire week following the wedding! We partied for 7 days straight! Very useful to avoid wedding blues. If you can, book a videographer as well as a photographer. The memories of your wedding day are priceless.

Hawaiian Destination Wedding at Turtle Bay Resort

October 9, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Hawaiian-Destination-Wedding-at-Turtle-Bay-Resort-Derek-Wong-Photography-085

If a beautiful Australian couple throwing a destination wedding in Hawaii isn’t a recipe for success, we don’t know what is! Candaice and Dan hired a team of expert professionals to create the day of their dreams at Turtle Bay Resort, and every inch from the voluminous blooms by Passion Roots to the effortlessly romantic reception styling by GG Inspired was exactly as the couple envisioned. After a waterfront ceremony full of laughter and tears, Derek Wong Photography took the newlyweds out for a little photo shoot on the rocky shore where the couple’s bliss was palpable and the sunset was inexplicably lovely.

The Couple:

Candaice and Dan

The Wedding:

Turtle Bay Resort, Kahuku, Hawaii

The Inspiration:

Having our wedding in Turtle Bay lent itself to a beautiful backdrop, we are from Australia so all of our guests were from out of town. So when it came to styling the wedding we worked with the surrounds as much as possible by having the open air dance floor, lights in the trees and all the doors open to our reception.I love flowers, so I put most of my effort and styling budget into the flowers. I wanted all white linen and decor so that the bright corals and greens would really pop. The floral heart was my favourite styling piece on the day. My brother designed our thank you notes, menus and place settings so they were very special. Our place settings had everyone’s nicknames on the back to give them the extra personal touch, our guests really enjoyed that.

The Moments:

It’s very hard to pinpoint one moment, having your family and friends fly in from around the world to witness for you is overwhelming in itself. if I had to narrow it down, I would say walking down the isle with my Dad to Sam Smith’s Latch was a big moment, when I saw Dan’s face it was very hard to hold it together.

The Couple Recommends:

My florist Passion Roots and photographer Derek Wong were definitely stand out. They did an amazing job. Turtle Bay of course was amazing in helping with all my guests and requests for the big day. Everyone was in awe of how beautiful the location was.

3 Glam Bridal Looks for Any Wedding Style

October 9, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Glam-Bridal-Looks-For-Any-Bride-Tati-Pinho--2

It’s no secret that we’re a little obsessed with bridal style here at Junebug Weddings, so when Brazilian photographer Tati Pinho sent over these bridal inspiration looks, we were so excited to share them with you. While all three looks are perfect for any bride, they have one thing in common: glamour. We like to call them natural glamour, vintage glamour, and bohemian glamour.

1. Natural Glamour: this look is characterized by loose waves, a clean face, and a bold lip. If you want all eyes on your brilliant smile as you laugh and kiss through your day, this beauty styling will emphasize your natural beauty while drawing attention to your perfect pout.

2. Vintage Glamour: If retro vibes and old Hollywood flair are exactly what you envision for your wedding day, look no further than this vintage glam look. The red lip, silver shadow, and demure birdcage veil masterfully balance the class and playfulness that vintage style is known for.

3. Bohemian Glamour: A loose up-do and flower crown are essentially synonymous with bohemian style. We love that the crown was adorned with bold blooms in jewel tone hues, making for an undeniably glamorous look for any free-spirited bride. Warmer colors on the bride’s eyes and cheeks, paired with a more neutral lip, maintains a look that is beautiful without being over-the-top.
