He lived in New Orleans and she, Atlanta, but after meeting at a football game in Alabama, Kerri and Brandon sparked up an exciting new relationship. The long distance only made these two realize their love for one another and how they couldn’t spend another moment apart, so Brandon quickly made the move to Atlanta. Deciding on an intimate, wedding, Kerri and Brandon focused on creating an awesome dinner party surrounded by love. The Bethesda Academy in Savannah, Georgia with its historic buildings and Spanish moss covered oak trees created the perfect setting for this charming Savannah wedding. Hopkins Studios expertly captured the happy couple on their big day!

The Couple:

Kerri and Brandon

The Wedding:

Bethesda Academy, Savannah, Georgia

The Inspiration:

We wanted our overall feel to be very focused on family and love. We wanted to keep things very intimate and small. It was all about the love between us and the love of our families. We wanted our wedding to feel like an intimate dinner party…with a kick ass party band! :) We definitely took some inspiration from our surroundings. Bethesda Academy’s grounds are absolutely stunning; the old buildings, the Spanish moss covered oak trees, the Moon River, Whitefield Chapel. Wedding day fashion was simple. We wanted to be comfortable and relaxed. I was not even looking to wear a “wedding dress” but I came across the beautiful Lela Rose “Forrest” gown and thought it was perfect. It fit my personality perfectly and fit with the setting as well.

The Moments:

It is so hard to pick just one, because the whole day was absolutely perfect! But if we had to pick one, it would be our ceremony. Brandon and I decided to write our own vows to one another and it was so special. We called them our Love Letters to one another. It was so great to look out at our family and friends and see the smiles on their faces, and the tears in their eyes. You could feel love in that little chapel. And to have my brother standing next to me as my “Man of Honor” and Brandon‘s sister next to him as his “Best Woman”, it is a moment we will never forget.

The Couple Recommends:

Every single one of our vendors was amazing to work with, and did a fabulous job! We couldn’t have pulled any of it off without Kelly Mattox! What a life saver she was. It was challenging at times trying to plan a wedding from out of town, but Kelly made it so simple and easy for us. I told Kelly the overall look that we wanted for our reception, with no pictures to show her, and she totally got it and made it come to life. Our florist, Amy with Harvey Designs also did an incredible job! She far exceeded our expectations! Our flowers were exactly what we had wanted and more! And she was able to use our flower containers that Brandon made himself! (the brown wood boxes used as the center pieces on the tables)

Boho Island Wedding in Cambodia

July 31, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Prem and Gaya's wedding photography in Phuket, Thailand

Sarah and Christian’s boho chic styled Buddhist wedding felt like an intimate oasis for just them two. The couple exchanged vows under a wedding arch that was covered in white linen, took part in a Buddhist tradition, and shared beautiful moments walking the gorgeous island streets of Song Saa in Cambodia. Mott Visuals Weddings captured breathtaking views at this casual, boho wedding in Cambodia.

The Couple:

Sarah and Christian

The Wedding:

Song Saa, Kaoh Rung, Krong Preah Sihanouk, Cambodia

The Inspiration:

Considering the location and the style of Song Saa Island we were looking for a sophisticated outfit which can be worn barefooted – casual and simple but elegant, with some typically local elements. My boho chic style wedding dress went perfectly with the vintage Chanel bracelet that I got from Christian as engagement gift. There were a lot of lotus flowers, who are an important symbol of buddhism, used for decoration and the flower bouquet as well.

The Moments:

For the two of us the monk blessing was the main reason to come to Cambodia, so it was a a very special moment being blessed by Buddhist monks at this absolute unique location.

The Couple Recommends:

Looking for an intimate wedding venue for just the two of us and additionally having a blessing ceremony with buddhist monks we came across the wonderful island resort of Song Saa. Being fascinated by their style of promotional imagery, we found out that it was all the work of professional photographer Justin Mott. Fortunately he was around and had time for a shooting with us – we couldn’t have been any happier having him capturing our special day. He is a professional, talented and creative genius and furthermore such a great person, working with him was pure fun. We got a lot of really amazing pictures to keep as memories and to show our relatives and friends. So if you need a professional photographer and Justin is around and available – don’t hesitate, he is the best choice you can take! The whole team of Song Saa was just amazing as well! The ceremony at the beach and the monk blessing on the deck were just perfectly arranged, just like the beautiful decorated pavilion where we had our romantic dinner.
