Daring couple Stella and Curtis ventured out into the rocky terrain of Whytecliff Park for their pre-wedding session with Orange Memories Photography. The soon-to-be newlyweds wore their wedding best, and Stella’s bridal look in particular made for truly romantic images as her gauzy gown moved across the rocks and her veil lifted into the wind.
In spite of nearly all of their dream wedding plans going awry, Lali and Ehsan’s destination elopement in Thailand was nothing short of dreamy. Luckily, Shari + Mike Photographers were there to save the day and capture it all, from the impossibly adorable first look to the laughter-filled ceremony, to toasting on a blanket in the sand after sunset.
The Couple:
Lali and Ehsan
The Wedding:
Phuket, Thailand
The Inspiration:
Ehsan and I knew that we didn’t want a typical wedding. From the start, we had said that we wanted to go to a remote location where no one knew us, but always had the vision of taking photographers with us. We’ll call the Thailand wedding our rehearsal, because it was everything that we had imagined we didn’t want, but it prepared us for what was to come — our wedding in Sapa, Vietnam.
The Moments:
Everything was kind of a funny blur! We got married twice. Phuket was our worst, best wedding ever. We had wanted a very minimal wedding and ended up with a fuchsia pink flowers, saying our vows in front of the pool during happy hour and walking out to “Limp Bizkit – In the End.” We laughed during the entire ceremony, so we knew that this wasn’t our dream wedding, until we arrived in Sapa, Vietnam. So when we got there, we did it again. But that one counted.
The Couple Recommends:
Shari & Mike were amazing. They traveled with us to 3 countries in 9 days on little to no sleep and were absolutely unbelievable. Shari saved me with her bobby pins after my hair straightener blew out, the two did my dress up, to ensure that Ehsan wouldn’t see me before “the reveal” picture and were both unreal travel partners. We have nothing but amazing things to say about them and wish that everyone would get married just to have a reason to hire them.
