A soft field of tall grass and the rocky seaside at Cape Kiwanda made for a romantic backdrop during Jacqueline and Patrick’s engagement session with Katie Nicolle Photography. The couple couldn’t have looked more comfortable skipping barefoot in the sand, Jacqueline with floppy hat in hand, as they kissed, hugged, and celebrated their upcoming wedding.
Thanks to Katie Nicolle Photography for sharing Jacqueline and Patrick’s dreamy Cape Kiwanda engagement session with Junebug! For more waterfront photo inspiration, be sure to check out Sarah and Brandon’s St. Augustine anniversary session.
Vivian and Steven’s opulent wedding at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was a destination getaway for both the couple and their guests. The newlyweds enlisted the Vietnam Wedding Planner to create a party everyone would remember, with lavish florals, an incredibly beautiful waterfront venue, and golden light hanging above the lively reception. Wainwright Weddings captured each extravagant detail and candid emotion that made Vivian and Steven’s wedding unforgettable.
We wanted a getaway wedding, where everyone could let their hair down and enjoy themselves so we chose Vietnam’s Tropical weather combined with a secluded resort. The Intercontinental Sun Peninsular in Danang was our ultimate venue. We saw some photos of it online and we knew that we wanted to get married there.
We wanted a luxurious feeling wedding where our guests were treated to everything possible. But at the same time, a relaxed and fun party feel. The architecture there was awe-inspiring and incredibly opulent, setting the scene for a memorable occasion.
Bright pops of colours through our floral choices and hanging lights added to our festive feel. I asked our wedding planner Nadine to give me ‘The Great Wall of Flowers’ and she really did!
Whiskey and cigar bar, photo both, dessert buffet, camera games – we just wanted everyone to have a good time and not hold back.
The Moments:
Steven: Hearing everyone’s speeches and the chance to say thanks to all our family and friends.
Vivian: Being able to run around carefree with my flats, doing shots, drinking from the coconuts freshly plucked from the trees and running into the ocean with my bridesmaids.
The Couple Recommends:
We absolutely loved working with Nadine, she was flawless in her execution. Really taking the stress away from us and an absolute professional in every way. From our welcome dinner to our last dance, everything was perfect.
Julian’s photos really took us back to those amazing moments and captured the magic that we felt. It was such a relief to know that Julian would deliver such amazing shots and we didn’t have to do anything. Incredible skills.
Congratulations to Vivian and Steven on their glamorous destination wedding and thanks to Wainwright Weddings for sharing these exquisite images with Junebug! Planning a getaway wedding? Get more destination wedding inspiration from our Pinterest!
Only in New Zealand does a trip to the countryside require a helicopter! Zoe and Brad’s Lake Benmore wedding began with an intimate waterfront ceremony before the newlyweds hopped in a helicopter with photographer Jim Pollard goes click for their epic mountain portrait session. Keeping things simple with a navy and white color palette, the highlight of Zoe and Brad’s wedding was the incredible landscape of their neighbor’s farm.
We had the ceremony on our neighbour’s farm beside Lake Benmore and the reception in our family farm’s woolshed so our theme was country/woodshed wedding and from this I thought simple, beautiful and strong colours, hence why the groomsmen and the bridesmaids were dressed in navy.
The Moments:
Our favourite moment was when not a single guest was sitting down and the dance floor was packed! It was awesome to see everyone having an amazing time celebrating with us
The Couple Recommends:
Our photographer, Jim was so awesome to work with, he made us feel relaxed and comfortable and he took some breath taking shots! Also, our caterers were off the charts! The food was so good!
