Kristina and Alex’s Alaska destination wedding was inspired by rich fall colors and the incredible natural surroundings of The Last Frontier. Before an intimate ceremony in the stunning Our Lady of the Snows, Kristina and Alex shared their first look in the woodland landscape, all of which was beautifully captured by Erica Rose Photography. A navy, burnt orange, and gray reception followed at Challenge Alaska Ski School, and the fall wedding inspiration is one for the books!

Our Lady of the Snows, Girdwood, Alaska
The Destination: Our wedding was very simple, mainly because it was a destination wedding in Alaska, that we planned from over 4,000 miles away. We wanted to incorporate the outdoors, so almost all of our pictures were taken outside (even though it was raining!), and our decorations inside were rustic but elegant and simple.
The Inspiration: Alex actually picked our color theme based on the outfit he wanted to wear. He knew he wanted to wear a wool grey jacket and vest with navy slacks. I knew I wanted fall colored flowers. From there, our theme was based on Alaska, and the colors navy, burnt orange, and grey. We asked all of our guests to come in our colors, so that everyone was apart of our “wedding party.” It was absolutely perfect.
