Bradley and Leigh enlisted the help of Lucille Lawrence Photography to capture the most exciting time in their life — their engagement. Casually exploring the beautiful, natural surroundings in Mendocino, California, the couple shared sweet smiles and tons of laughter. We can’t help but notice the effortless joy these two have together. In addition to their playful photos, Lucille photographed romantic moments of the couple at sunset.
Get ready to cry happy tears because Julie and Dan’s wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate in New York tops the charts as one of the most sentimental and meaningful ceremonies yet. Walking down the aisle to an original song written by her now husband, Julie couldn’t have felt more special. (You have to check out the heart-warming music video, which is linked in the moments section of this post!) Wowing the crowd with her unbelievably gorgeous floral headpiece, this bohemian bride looked effortlessly beautiful on her big day. Chellise Michael Photography captured every beautiful moment this awesome couple spent at their magical wedding.
Spiritual. Magical. Bohemian. One with Nature. Love. Vegan.
The Moments:
My favorite moment of the wedding is the moment before I married my husband. The song “Real Love” by Beach House was playing as dancers performed on the isle as I watched from the back of the crowd. It was the most beautiful, most anticipated moment of my life. When they bowed down to allow me to walk through half-way through the song, my heart was beating with the music, my eyes were locked on my husband-to-be, the flower crown sat heavy on my head as I was guided by my parents towards my future. I circled him 7 times, and as I have heard that brides have the most spiritual power on their wedding day, I made sure to ask for blessings for all my friends and family as I circled around him as he lowered his head and prayed. The music was just instrumental at that moment and everyone was feeling all that love that was emanating from us. It was the most magical feeling in the world. Watch the video to hear “Home” and “Real Love” set to our wedding day here!

All of them were amazing! The photographers, Sarah & Daniel were like friends at our wedding, just enjoying every moment. Cedar Lakes is the best place to get married and they accommodated a vegan menu, which everyone raved about. Meg from That Time Events interpreted everything we wanted and the magic of the weekend was because of her beautiful flowers and set ups. Our wedding planner was awesome in keeping it all together and helping us every step of the way.. The hair and makeup team were fantastic. Everyone!
Held at a girls’ camp in Maine, Ali and Jon’s elegant wedding was perfectly quirky in every way. The pair shared their first look along a wooden staircase outside of a cabin at Camp Mataponi before saying “I do” in a field overlooking Sebago Lake. Catherine Rhodes Photography captured exceedingly gorgeous portraits of the newlyweds as they explored the camp grounds together, and she beautifully documented stunning details like the lavender and pink bouquet by Watershed Floral and the bride’s glittering hairpiece by Twigs & Honey.
We got married at Camp Mataponi, which is already such a beautiful venue. I knew we wouldn’t have to do too much to make it really pop. If we had to name our theme, I guess it was rustic elegance with a touch of quirkiness. I wanted to let the flowers do most of the work, and Sarah from Watershed Floral really delivered. The flowers were stunning and brought so much life into the space.
For wedding day fashion, I wanted to look like an ethereal fairy princess (I’m secretly still 12 at heart). I loved my dress and shoes from BHLDN and my belt and hair piece from Twigs & Honey.
The Moments:
Our favorite moment was the first look. Catherine, our photographer, had suggested we do this and I am so glad that we did. You’re just bursting at the seams with excitement and anticipation. To be able to have that moment alone to just be with each other and really take in the moment was really special. We were both able to breathe after that and we were able to head to the ceremony without the jitters…mostly ;)

Catherine from Catherine Rhodes Photography was so wonderful to work with. She was responsive and super helpful with hashing out all of the “day of” details. She also made us feel so comfortable during our formal pictures. We are overjoyed with how the photos came out.
Sarah at Watershed Floral did an amazing job. We knew at our first meeting with her that we were in good hands. She was responsive and with a few photos of inspiration from us, she really just nailed the look we were going for.
So happy with the choices that we made for our big day. It wouldn’t have all come together without them!!
