Glam Palm Springs Wedding at Thunderbird Country Club

September 5, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Glam-Palm-Springs-Wedding-at-Thunderbird-Country-Club (16 of 29)

Metallic silver bridesmaid gowns, unique floral arrangements, and iconic palm trees all came together to create Lane and Travis’ glamorous wedding at Thunderbird Country Club in Palm Springs, California! Cocktail hour, filled with classic drinks and Frank Sinatra, brought a vintage glamor that perfectly fit this fun couple! The amazing Joel & Justyna photographed playful images of the couple at their beautiful, sunny wedding!

The Couple:

Lane and Travis

The Wedding:

Thunderbird Country Club, Palm Springs, California

The Inspiration:

Our vision was simple: we wanted a big party to celebrate all of our favorite people being in one place. For us, that meant having a killer band, plenty of drinks and a big dance floor. We also wanted to cash in on the Palm Springs rat pack vibe so cocktail hour and dinner were packed with Frank Sinatra, cafe lights and Palm Springs spritzers (It helps that our band’s lead singer Aalsohas a Frank Sinatra tribute band so they totally killed it) Later they changed into rock clothes and played a full set of classic rock throwbacks and got EVERYONE dancing! (talk about versatile!) Our decor inspiration was eclectic glamour. We went with a palate of mixed metallics, eccentric vases of all different sizes and metals (copper, brass, mercury and milk glass) filled with lush, full faced flowers and whimsical greens contrasted with succulents and single bud vases for unique florals that complimented the outdoor surroundings. The desert in the spring is absolutely magical and we did not want to take away from any of that! Fresh flowers everywhere, bright green grass and the smell of citrus in the air- there is a reason we chose March in Palm Springs!

The Moments:

The best moments of the day were of course when we got to see each other for the first time walking down the isle- it’s hard to prepare for how special that moment is!! Also, we had about three free minutes when we were able to sneak away between pictures and our big entrance- we saw the reception area for the first time and were able to watch our bridal party being announced and trying to top each others dance moves and in that moment realized what an amazing celebration it really was and how special to have the people who mean the most in the world to us in one place. Thank you to everyone that was a part of our most treasured day!

Midsummer Night’s Dream Wedding in France

September 5, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Midsummer-Night's-Dream-Wedding-in-France (29 of 39)

Axel and Laure’s magical French wedding in Normandy, France was dressed in gypsophila flowers, antique tableware, and vintage décor. The bride wore an elegant, vintage styled gown designed by Celestina Agostino. Dark blue walls and bright red cushions added a pop of color to the dreamy reception. Talented photographer Annie Gozard photographed incredible moments this sweet couple at their midsummer night’s dream wedding. Check out our favorite photos of the couple riding on a traditional Indian tuktuk after the ceremony!

The Couple:

Axel and Laure

The Wedding:

Normandy, France

The Inspiration:

The inspiration came from few words: “a midsummer night’s dream.” All was in wood and old gold, which was given the impression of being in an elegant 20s picnic under a starry sky. Some details: The church entirely filled by gypsophila flowers, the tea/coffee stall with vintage tableware and sweets, the Indian rickshaw and vintage wood toys that we found at French Antique Wedding, the two thousand old keys we bought to go with names of the guests and their table number – each table had the name of a childhood house or a friend house which was important in our relationship – the thousands of candlesticks and gold brass vases with flowers, and the planted trees with candles and in the transparent tent.

The Moments:

Many moments have marked this day: When I entered the church, when we left the ceremony in an Indian tuktuk, or when we discovered the reception beautifully decorated. The speeches of our closest friends and family were “speechless”! But, maybe the one we will keep in mind was our personalized vows my husband and I wrote for each other during the ceremony.

The Couple Recommends:

We were thrilled by all of our vendors’ kindness, attention, and flexibility, especially our caterer, Jean Traiteur, a “great lady” who made my dress, Celestina Agostino, and our photographer, Annie Gozard, who we would like to send a special thank for her availability and her incredibly amazing shots.

Metallic Wedding at St. Regis Princeville Resort

September 4, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Metallic-Wedding-at-St.-Regis Princeville-Resort (21 of 24)

While high school sweethearts Adrian and Kaci were visiting Kauai, Hawaii for their ten-year anniversary, Adrian got down on one knee and proposed! Because of it’s natural appeal and sentimental value, the couple chose St. Regis Princeville Resort in Kauai, Hawaii for their big day. White rose petals and light-pink bridesmaid gowns quickly made this island wedding an elegant oasis. Derek Wong Photography was there to capture it all as these two enjoyed their special day!

The Couple:

Adrian and Kaci

The Wedding:

St. Regis Princeville Resort, Kauai, Hawaii

The Inspiration:

Our inspiration was romance and metallics. We were married in Kauai, so I wanted the outside nature to encompass the ceremony. I didn’t want anything to take away from the view of what was surrounding us. For the reception it was all about white, gold and silver! Adrian and I are very into fashion and we wanted the best for the attire. We went to our favorite city Miami to find Adrian’s tux and we walked into Dolce and Gabbana and they had this one of a kind blue suit and that was it! He knew thats what he wanted to wear. I have always been in love with Marchesa since I can remember, I have always thoughts there designs were so timeless and effortlessly beautiful. So I did not search I went specifically for a Marchesa dress and thats what I got.

The Moments:

There are so many favorite moments, from when Adrian said he saw me top the hill to come down at the beginning of the ceremony to our first dance. There was something about stepping out on the dance floor just him and I, that it felt like we were on top of the world. Adrian locked his eyes on me and sang the entire song to me as if no one was watching. In those minutes you are taken to another place where you realize you are now husband and wife and it will be us together always.
