Dazzling and Personal Wedding at Old Mill Toronto

September 7, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Dazzling-and-Personal-Wedding-at-Old-Mill-Toronto-Jennifer-Moher-Photography (17 of 23)

Old Mill Toronto set the stage for a glamorous and thoughtful celebration, exactly as Amanda and Matt envisioned for their day. The wedding brilliantly married vintage and modern styles from the bride’s dazzling Jenny Packham gown and simple ivory oxford flats to the industrial warehouse venue choice. Jennifer Moher Photography documented the chic details and candid moments that made every second of Amanda and Matt’s wedding exceptional.

The Couple:

Amanda and Matt

The Wedding:

Old Mill Toronto, Toronto, Ontario

The Inspiration:

We wanted to have a fantastic party that still felt intimate and romantic. I wanted each element to feel just like us – from the moving poems read during our ceremony to the garden-inspired arrangements to the fun temporary tattoos to the starry string lights.

The Moments:

We both loved escaping for photos – just the two of us – with our photographer Jennifer Moher while our guests were having cocktails. We walked through a nearby park and Jennifer just let us soak it all in. Looking at the photographs now, you can tell how relaxed and happy we were.

The Couple Recommends:

We loved working with our photographer Jennifer Moher. Her relaxed, easy-going style was the perfect fit for us, and her photographs are absolutely swoon-worthy.

I also adore our florist Sarah Nixon of My Luscious Backyard. Sarah uses residential Toronto yards to grow more than 100 flower varieties. The arrangements are gorgeous, casual and naturalistic. I absolutely love how they turned out!

DIY Country Wedding in New Zealand

September 6, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

DIY-Country-Wedding-in-New-Zealand (25 of 40)

After being apart for three months because Laura was spending time at home in Perth with her mom, Jason made a romantic gesture and flew to meet her to propose! The couple spent the next four months panning their rustic wedding at his family farm in Dannevirke, New Zealand. Wooden signs, soft pink florals, and dreamy dark clouds all came together to create a romantic setting for the couple to tie the knot. David Le Design & Photography captured this country wedding perfectly!

The Couple:

Jason and Laura

The Wedding:

Private Residence, Dannevirke, New Zealand

The Inspiration:

Country, Rustic, DIY. We had four months to plan and execute everything, so I had to try and stop myself thinking up more things I “needed” at our wedding before I ran out of time.

The speeches were my favorite part, I wasn’t expecting such amazing words from our Family and Friends, It was very special.

The Couple Recommends:

As for the professionals, our photographer was my favorite person on the day, other than the groom. He was always around taking precious photos that I knew were special moments, he had a great relaxed vibe and gave direct instructions to everybody involved in the photographs so they turned out really well. Hester Guy Catering also did an outstanding job of organising their staff and serving our guest delicious vegetarian Canapés and an amazing buffet spread, with huge smiles on their faces all day and night.

Southwestern Inspired Wedding at Mercury Hall

September 6, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Southwestern-Inspired-Wedding-at-Mercury-Hall (19 of 39)

While backpacking through the Guadalupe Mountains with some of their best friends, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Lisa to be his adventure partner for life. Loving the outdoors, the couple wanted to incorporated a southwestern aesthetic with many floral details. Their wedding at Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas was filled with pies, succulents, chalkboard signs, and many bright colors! Documenting memories to last a lifetime, Photo by Betsy captured the sweetest first look!

The Couple:

Andrew and Lisa

The Wedding:

Mercury Hall, Austin, Texas

The Inspiration:

Andrew really wanted to go for a southwestern look and I wanted a floral look so I think that we met in the middle. The colors were so important to me, but I was also more than happy to have succulents as our centerpieces and other decor. We both find beauty in simplicity and the outdoors, and I think our wedding theme and decor reflected our love for both of those things.

The Moments:

Our first look was easily the best moment of the day. I loved getting to having some time with him before the wedding and am so thankful that it was all on camera.Andrew doesn’t cry often, but as I hugged him from behind, I could feel him crying. It is a moment that I will never forget. Betsy made it such a fun time where we just got to laugh together and be together on our wedding day. I loved being able to get the nerves and the tears out together before walking down the aisle to him.

The Couple Recommends:

Betsy went above and beyond. I think that she helped set the tone for the day and made me feel so comfortable. We walked away from that day with a new friend. We had so much fun and our wedding party also said that Betsy made taking pictures a fun experience for them as well. On top of all of that, we couldn’t be happier with our pictures! She was fantastic and I would recommend her to anyone!
