Classically Beautiful Wedding at Magnolia Manor

It doesn’t get more classically beautiful than Rachel and Chris’ Magnolia Manor wedding. Though the couple now live in New York, they chose to honor the bride’s Southern roots with a wedding in North Carolina. The whole scene was elegant as could be, as Rachel, wearing an exquisite lace gown by Tony Ward Couture, said “I do” to Chris in an outdoor ceremony beneath towering trees. The wedding décor was simple and chic, relying on neutral colors and natural elements to highlight the already stunning venue. Hartman Outdoor Photography effortlessly captured the magic shared between Rachel and Chris on their romantic day.

The Couple:

Rachel and Chris

The Wedding:

Magnolia Manor, Warrenton, North Carolina

I loved my wedding dress because it was all of those things. The designer, Tony Ward, actually customized the dress and added lace sleeves to make it more classic/romantic. And I thought the lace was beautiful. The swiss dot sheer material at the bottom felt very southern. And there was just a touch of beading, which was nice for the evening.

Honestly, it was the moment of standing in front of every person we love and who loves us and promising to love each other. That was a feeling of joy and just love that was beyond what either of us anticipated.

Our photographers were amazing. We actually hadn’t met them beforehand because it was hard to coordinate trips down to NC for wedding planning + meeting them. So I’m sure there was a little nervousness on both sides. Shelley and Josh came in and made everyone feel relaxed. And they were fun! Our guests loved them.

We wanted simple but classic. And we really wanted to highlight the natural beauty of where we were. So we had our wedding outside and we kept with the rustic nature of the barn for our reception. Twinkle lights, white table clothes, simple flower arrangements kept true to that theme. I think the lighting and simplicity made it a very romantic vibe.

Baltimore Wedding Portraits at Sunset

January 20, 2016 | Junebug Weddings

Jessica and Mike crossed their fingers and toes a forecast of rain wouldn’t interrupt their Baltimore wedding day. Unfortunately, a torrential downpour began just as they were saying “I do,” eliminating any chance of taking newlyweds portraits around their beautiful venue. Photographer Justin Kunimoto jumped to the rescue with a Plan B, arranging a post-wedding session at sunset. Without the stress of a wedding timeline, Jessica and Mike were completely calm and enjoyed these solo moments overlooking the skyline as a light breeze moved effortlessly around them.

We Can’t Get Enough of This Stylish Couple’s Take on a Traditional Croatian Wedding

January 20, 2016 | Junebug Weddings

Whimsical-Croatian-Wedding-at-Marincel-Nina-Photography-1

Helena and Ante turned up the volume on their traditional Croatian wedding with unexpected fashion choices and DIY elements. Helena wore a lace gown covered in delicate floral details from eNVy room paired with a pair of fierce yellow peep-toe pumps. Nina Photography documented the entire day, from the couple preparing to say “I do” to shaking off the nerves and tying the knot in a beautiful church ceremony. Finally, the grand reception took place at Marincel, where ceiling to floor was decorated in lace, burlap, and romantic shades of pink and white.

The Couple:

Helena and Ante

The Wedding:

Marincel, Zagreb, Croatia

My wedding style was very romantic. From the moment I started imagining my dress, I knew it had to be all lace. My hair had loose curls and was decorated with white flower wreath. The bouquet was made of pink and white flowers. The only thing that stood out were my yellow shoes!

Saying ‘we do’ was the best part. Everything before that was nice, but a bit nervous, and everything after the church was fun and really quickly over so the ceremony must be ‘it.’

We wanted it to be romantic, so we chose light pink, white and a bit of green and put it on everything – flowers, invitations, and thank you gifts. Of course, lace and burlap are inevitable, so they could also be found all over the place. We gave out homemade schnapps that was also decorated with lace by my friends and family.

Our first dance was Al Green’s “Lets Stay Together,” and we found the choreography on YouTube. It looked so much better on YouTube than on our tape, but it was funny.
