Angela and Doug’s Australian farm wedding was the ultimate blend of the couple’s Scottish heritages and their native Australia’s rustic vibes! Wanting to channel a vintage style while staying true to themselves, Angela and Doug chose to DIY every detail of their wedding on their family’s farm. The couple is extremely connected to their Scottish roots, so they incorporated Scottish details like ceremony bagpipes and Lamont tartan bowties in their special day! Van Middleton Photography captured every gorgeous moment of Angela and Doug’s wedding, including some epic countryside couple portraits next to wild horses.
As the temps outside are finally dropping, this cool weather wedding inspiration makes us want to huddle around a campfire with tons of blankets! Erin Wheat Photography captured this alternative fall wedding shoot with the wild spirit and cozy vibes of the northern Vermont woods in mind. We can’t get enough of the wispy, romantic floral designs from Folklore Farm and the mustard eyelet midi dress from For Love and Lemons!
We can’t think of many things more enchanting than Daiane and Steven’s Atlanta treehouse wedding! The couple had their totally magical ceremony at a picture perfect treehouse, then brought their guests to 5 Seasons Brewing for a low-key reception. From Daiane’s DIY bouquet to the couple’s impromptu first dance, we love how this wedding’s flow was totally organic. We can’t get enough of the gorgeous couple portarits Vic Bonvicini Photography took on the treehouse bridge!
The most important part of our wedding was to have our family experience something new and making sure the day reflects our relationship. We were looking for something unique but that’d keep our ceremony intimate yet special. We both love nature and the city of Atlanta so the Atlanta Treehouse was the perfect location since it’s in the middle of the city.
The morning of the wedding, my friend and I went to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods, and just like that I made own bouquet.
We wanted to go for a boho style. My wedding dress said so much about me. My favorite part is how affordable + comfortable it was.
Since before we got engaged we both knew we wanted to keep it small and the choice of the wedding style was a very natural process since it says a lot of our personality.
Our wedding officiant was a friend who walked with us throughout our whole relationship. It was so special to have him speaking so much life into our lives that day.
Our one and only advice is: Don’t stress out. We kept our wedding low key because we wanted to make sure we enjoyed the day with our family and close friends. I don’t think we’d have this chance if we had a big wedding.
We planned on having our first dance at the Treehouse – to keep it intimate – but we ran out of time. On our way to the reception we forgot about our first dance for a minute – I mean, we are not wedding people at all – and when we walked to the reception, Tenerife Sea started playing. It was funny because we didn’t plan on dancing in front of everyone so of course we didn’t rehearse at all but it was the best part because we got to be ourselves and share that moment with everyone.
I kept all the flowers Steven gave me throughout our relationship. I kept them dried and we’ve decided to use l to use these dry flowers as our cake backdrop.
