Katie and Andy’s coastal California wedding combined elegant natural greenery with insanely inspired DIY details! When searching for a venue, the couple fell in love with The Casitas Estate‘s unique Spanish estate vibes, and immediately knew it was the location for them. Katie is a graphic designer by trade, so she single-handedly designed her wedding’s amazing invitation suite, hand-lettered wooden signs, and personalized succulent favors. We can’t get enough of how Krista Ashley Photography captured every breathtaking detail in this wedding, including the brilliant donut escort card display that doubled as a dessert table!
Our venue had such a unique Spanish estate feel. The grounds were covered with succulents, which was our theme/obsession for the wedding. Not to mention the view was absolutely incredible. It seemed meant to be.
I am a graphic designer and designed and created every aspect of our invite package. From the save the dates, to the invitation itself. I picked out the paper and cut out every envelope liner, hand wrote every address, hand stamped every return address, tied all of the gold twine around the invite package and attached our custom logo stamp.
The ceremony was the most memorable moment of the day. There was something so special about being able to be so personal with one another in front of our closest family and friends. It was also probably one of the hardest things I have ever done, speaking so personally in front of that many people. And that is what made it so special, that we did that together.
Our advice: Stay Organized! We got one of those giant desk planners/calendars, and wrote down everything. Every month at the top of the calendar, I would list out our to-do list for that month.
Our favors were small metal tins with succulents in them with a gift tag featuring the wedding logo hand stamped on there that I designed for our wedding. We wanted to give everyone something that they could use. Every time I see the succulents at my house, my parents house, or friends house; I know that they were from our wedding.
I also hand painted multiple famous love quotes on old wooden slabs that were positioned down the isle of the ceremony and at the bridal table at our reception.
Casey and Matt’s Bali wedding featured intimate vibes, tropical accents, and perhaps our favorite wedding detail ever: tons of cute puppies! The couple loves the ocean, so when they decided on a destination wedding, Bali was at the top of their list. Casey and Matt’s wedding took place at Seseh Beach Villas, a gorgeous beachfront venue that they decked out with natural greenery to complement Bali’s natural forests. We are totally in love with the wedding party photos that Terralogical captured, including Casey’s bridal party’s stunning all-white beachy cocktail dresses.
We had actually chosen/booked/paid for a different venue and 2 months before the wedding we had to move venues. We are so glad we did, we loves Seseh Beach Villas in Canggu. The staff were amazing the views beautiful and it provided an intimate and relaxed but classy vibe all in one.
Our photographer was wonderful. Govinda came and met with us at out hotel in the week beforehand so we could chat about what we were thinking and he delivered just that. Natural shots, no awkward posing and most of the time it felt as though he wasn’t even there.
Our wedding planning advice: Enjoy it, because it’s sad when its over…also wedding planners are like fairy god mothers.
