Elegant Tropical Phoenix Wedding at The Boojum Tree

September 16, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Terra and Stephen knew they’d found the perfect setting for their elegant wedding when they toured The Boojum Tree, a hidden tropical garden in Phoenix, Arizona. The couple immediately fell in love with the casual, eclectic vibe that created their bohemian wedding theme with minimal effort. To show off the magical scenery, a neutral color palette and gorgeous tropical-inspired bouquets of palm leaves and exotic white flowers went perfectly with the bride’s simple off-the-shoulder Grace Style and Bridal gown and fabulous headpiece. We love how Kayla Fisher Photography captured this sweet couple in a adorable first look session in the heart of the gardens before the ceremony!

The Couple:

Terra and Stephen

The Wedding:

The Boojum Tree, Phoenix, Arizona

The Boojum Tree has a very tropical, casual, and eclectic vibe that we absolutely love. The venue is spacious with a ton of greenery, and it really fit with our bohemian wedding theme.

I found my dress from Grace Style and Bridal, and it was one of the first dresses I tried on. It was simple, elegant, and had the beachy/boho vibe I was looking for. I wore a beautiful headpiece which was my favorite part of my wedding day look

My bridesmaids wore matching golden/tan dresses from David’s Bridal. They each chose their own shoes, hairstyles, and accessories for the big day. It was important to me that they all felt completely comfortable in what they were wearing.

Stephen and the groomsmen all wore matching navy blue tuxedos with brown shoes. Their vests and ties matched the biscotti color of the bridesmaid dresses. I loved how the tan and blue colors complimented each other, and how they popped against the green backdrop of the venue.

Kayla was an absolute dream to work with. She helped Stephen and I feel comfortable being ourselves the entire day. She was able to catch candid photos of our guests having fun, and that was really important to us. Kayla was laid back, yet very professional. She has a true talent in photography and we were lucky to work with her on our big day!

Romantic Pennsylvania Portrait Session at Maggpie Vintage Rentals

September 15, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Jaclyn and Kaitlyn’s portrait session at Maggpie Vintage Rentals was full of rich colors, sweet moments and serious romance. We love the contrast of elegant vintage furniture scattered throughout a downtown urban warehouse: vibrant textures like velvet cushions, macramé pillows and jewel tones against raw wood, exposed brick and bright white concrete. The sexy boudoir setup of candlelight and lacy black lingerie against an intricate vintage rug was exceptionally glamorous and M2 Photography captured such beautifully tender exchanges between the loving couple.

Glitzy Houston Barn Wedding at The Farmhouse

September 15, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Julia and Hozana wanted their ceremony to move their guests with its beauty, but this Houston barn wedding at The Farmhouse was full of glitz and glamour from start to finish. The breathtaking modern barn made up of bright white spaces, massive windows and fabulous feathered chandeliers was the perfect setting for their tender foot-washing ceremony meant to signify their vow to serve each other for life. Julia, a wedding photographer, was meticulous about the styling of every detail throughout the day, from bridesmaids gowns of blush pink chiffon and glittering rose gold sequins to beautifully simple florals and lush greenery by Nikki Thornton. Photographer Shila Pratt captured the happy couple post-wedding outside their fabulous venue under dramatic cloudy skies while videographer XO Creative took advantage of the high ceilings and uncontained excitement of the couple.

The Couple:

Julia and Hozana

The Wedding:

The Farmhouse, Houston, Texas

From the beginning, since before we even got engaged, I knew I wanted two things to occur at our wedding. I wanted an amazing, heartfelt, and God honoring ceremony, and I wanted people to fully enjoy themselves and have a complete blast.. for it to be not only a memorable event for us, but for all of our friends and family as well.

Being a wedding photographer myself, I was super meticulous about the look and styling of everything as well! I don’t think there was one thing that wasn’t important to me, I was super hands on with all of it.

We wanted our ceremony to be really special. I never wanted to quickly say vows and be done. Before I even met Hozana, I knew I wanted people to be touched and moved by God at my wedding. Hozana brought up that we should do a foot washing at our wedding to signify that we vow to serve each other for the rest of our lives, and had another worship song during the foot washing. I literally cried through most of the ceremony. It was perfect.

One day I told my husband (fiance at the time) that I wanted to open a venue that was a white barn, because there was nothing like that in Houston. Then a few weeks later, I got a FB ad for The Farmhouse. I literally freaked out and immediately called them by clicking on their number on their FB page. I went to visit it the next week, when it was only studs and nowhere close to being done. I knew it was the only venue I wanted to get married in, hands down!
