This Storage Facility Wedding Inspiration is Way More Gorgeous Than You Could Imagine

September 17, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

This unexpectedly gorgeous and unique wedding inspiration from Karly Ford Photo was shot in a storage facility amidst towers of shipping containers. The dramatic, minimal backdrop of rust and concrete contracted against a dark palette of black, silver and winter reds made the intricate details really pop. The bride’s ostrich feather vest worn over a beautifully embroidered Maison Bridal gown and glamorous updo looked fabulous with her wintery bouquet of deep burgundies, winey reds and moody purples by Cory Christopher Design. The Art of Cake created the fabulously artistic cake decorated with berries and shards of frosting. We love how the bridal look, florals and cake are as uniquely beautiful as this venue!

From the Event Designer, Elyse ColmanThe inspiration for this shoot came from the idea of pairing contrasts; the contract between the bridal beauty and the rugged industrial. We filtered this concept through each aspect of the shoot: the simple bridal gown vs. the fur shawl and fauxhawk, the floral print tablescape vs. the industrial backdrop, etc. We love the way the romantic, beautiful couple looks against the industrial sea can storage facility. It was a unique interpretation of the increasingly popular industrial wedding style. We were excited to showcase some unique aspects such as a non-diamond engagement ring (it’s morganite!), a blue suit, and coloured glassware, and the fur shawl.

Get Inspired By The Island Vibes in This Placida Harbor Club Wedding

September 17, 2017 | Junebug Weddings

Paige and Chad’s sweet first look managed to nearly steal the show from the white sands, palm trees and bright blue skies of their small and intimate wedding at Placida Harbor Club in Florida. The day was full casual island life elegance, from giant mangrove trees to the classic seaside church ceremony. Tiger Lily Florist designed the fabulous tropical bouquet, boutonnieres and bridal headpiece made up of palm leaves, orchids and birds of paradise. Photographer Rad Red Creative took a boat with the couple to a private island to capture the post-wedding storm clouds and epic sunset.

The Couple:

Paige and Chad

The Wedding:

Placida Harbor Club, Boca Grande, Florida

The most important thing was creating a day that was centered around the love that we share for each other. We wanted a small and intimate ceremony and reception where we could celebrate with the people who are most important to us.

Hire a good photographer! The day goes extremely fast, there’s a lot of little moments that you miss because of everything happening so quickly. Our photographers, Rad Red Creative, made us feel so comfortable and special throughout the entire day!

We chose our venue because of our love for the outdoors. Boca Grande is a very beautiful beach town with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. Our venue was perfect to portray the old Florida style, we used tropical florals and neutral shades as our accents.

We DIY-ed all of our floral centerpieces! We spent the night before on the floor of the reception venue piecing together the tropical centerpieces. Thank goodness for wholesale florists!

Every guest was someone who we truly cherish so being able to have all of our closest friends and family there to celebrate with us meant the world to us.
