Couples hire you because…

I let them spend time enjoying their wedding day and not spending a whole lot of time away from it for photos! It took a while for my ego to get over it, but couples want to spend time with their loved ones, not with me - so getting the formal group shots and couple shoot done beautifully but quickly is absolutely key (and I've gotten faster and faster at it over the years!)

What’s your favorite aspect of your job?

I love that I get to spend people's happiest day of their lives with them. I get to experience all the emotions, I get to know the couple really well, and the cherry on top is knowing that they'll be looking at my photographs for the rest of their lives!

Describe the personalities of the couples you get along best with.

People who just want to have a good time! I'm very laid back, don't interfere with your day too much, and will have a chat (and sometimes a dance) with the guests. Most of my couples have a great sense of humour and don't take things too seriously on the day. I am very chatty as well, so always get along with fellow chatterboxes!
