The Caryls were amazing from the very first email I sent. My husband and I were travelling from Australia to Scotland to get married and the communication and help we received from Jim and Katy was fantastic every step of the way. Photography was probably the most important part of the wedding planning and we fell in love with their style, quality and ability to capture a love story in perfect moments. On the day nothing was to hard and they were both incredibly professional, even hiking a mountain in the rain with us. We love our wedding photos and the online delivery made it so easy to download and share with all our friends who couldn't make it due to the travel distance.

When we decided to get married outside in Scottish winter we didn't know what we might be letting ourselves in for. We loved the idea of eloping but didn't really know if we were just being crazy. When we spoke to Katy & Jim about our plans we were instantly put at ease. Katy & Jim have done this before and know exactly they're letting themselves in for. They were helpful in suggesting locations and timings for our ceremony that would both photograph well and also be practical on the day, as well as passing on advice and experience from previous couples who eloped. When we got off the phone we immediately started to get excited about our day. One of our other concerns was cost: we weren't sure whether we should devote such a percentage of our budget to photography. Katy & Jim were worth every penny. Our elopement was small and with so few guests we thought the value of having really good photographs as a lasting memory of our day was essential. Their photos have a beautiful, wild, almost ethereal feel to them that is both artistic and documentary. If you're thinking about an outdoorsy elopement Katy & Jim are two of the best. They are professional, experienced, and take wonderful photos. Beyond that they were a pleasure to have around on our special day and we highly recommend them.

We flew from Florida to Scotland to elope and selected Ieva to be our photographer. She was very communicative up front and even helped me out when I had silly questions about shoes and weather. My husband is great in candid shots and I am the opposite but Ieva was able to capture beautiful pictures of us both so easily. We received our sneak peeks so quickly and I was awestruck at the quality and how beautiful my husband and I looked. When I come back to Scotland, I’m hiring Ieva for an adventure shoot, no doubt. :)
