What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
I love creating totally custom experiences for my couples where I get to show them my home country, my favourite locations as a local, and share my knowledge of our culture and geography. I always feel like I'm creating this gift for them to unwrap during the day and seeing their faces when we pull up to the locations, seeing the fun they have, and capturing the split moments is just the bees knees, my ultimate fave.
What is your specialty or personal style?
My personal style is like a mix of Lord of the Rings meets your long-lost friend in Iceland. It feels ethereal in the images and in the experience. Though I've worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment in my past NYC life, I know that my elopement clients aren't typically professionals in front of a camera so I just guide the experience more-so than pose anyone. We basically frolic all day, explore, and eat snacks while I happen to have cameras on me.
What is your favorite thing to do when not working?
You can find me generally doing 1 of 3 things: hiking and exploring this amazing little island, hanging out with my husband and cat (she looks like a potato), or roller skating/ coaching the Iceland Roller Derby Team. And if I'm not doing that, I'm probably at a local event or helping emerging business owners succeed.
