Amanda and Alex included their entire family in the wedding process, making it just that much more special. The bride’s mother created all of the bouquets and centerpieces, and her cousin designed all of the printed materials–invitations, Save the Dates, programs. With a color palette of rose, gold, and cream, the wedding design perfectly accentuated the vintage character of Salvage One in Chicago, Illinois. Rachel Gulotta Photography documented the gorgeous details at this one-of-a-kind wedding.

From the bride: I wanted to work with people who created beautiful, simple, and elegant things. I’m a writer so it was important to me to support Chicago-based artists like Rachel and Daniel, who are doing such great work. I also was so happy to work with Yolanda Trejo, who has been my hair stylist and fashion icon for about eight years now, and who also just opened her own salon, yo:u, in Chicago.

From the bride: We just fell in love with Salvage One. I felt like we were in a magical place and we didn’t want to ever leave. It has so many weird and amazing elements–it felt like we were on a set. It was perfect for the wedding, and of course, for the photos.
