This Modern Tropical Wedding at The Clarke Estate is a Boho Lover’s Dream

April 9, 2019 | Junebug Weddings

Tatum and Travis pulled out all the boho-tropical goodness for their late-summer wedding at The Clarke Estate! The planners at Details, Darling brought the couple’s wildest dreams to life with tropical florals, a crisp color palette, bohemian details, and organic textures that made this wedding feel more like an island vacation. All the details perfectly suited this carefree yet elegant vibe, right down to the quirky acrylic signage and neon sign from Tash Design Co that reflected the couple’s theme for the day: “I’ve got the power.” From first look to first dance, Isaiah and Taylor Photography captured every moment of this California wedding beautifully!

The Couple:

Tatum and Travis

The Wedding:

The Clarke Estate, Santa Fe Springs, California

The most important part of planning our wedding was making sure we included everyone who was special to us. We made sure to include our closest family members and even had our brother-in-law officiate the wedding. We wanted to make sure we shared these memories with them forever.

The most memorable part of our day was definitely our ceremony. Surprisingly, this was the part of the day that we wanted to go by the fastest, but looking back I cherish every moment. We chose to write our own vows, which was so special. I feel like this gave everyone (especially long distant relatives) an opportunity to get a great understanding of us!

We wanted our wedding to feel like you were on a vacation! We wanted all our guests to feel like they left LA and were somewhere tropical with all the fun bohemian vibes. Our wedding colors were shades of maroon, tan, and green. We chose these colors because they went with the deep tropical vibe we loved so much.

Processional Songs – “Stay with You” by John Legend, “Week” by SWV, and “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley (sung by the bride’s cousins)

  1. Heartfelt and vivid–the rosary, vows and other little touches make it clear that faith and tradition is important, but the poolside appetizers, mixed drinks, and local flora add a quirky but still elegant touch

  2. Stunning photo shoot. Very beautiful wedding.
