Chic Brooklyn style meets rustic elegance in this stylish yet laid-back wedding at 501 Union. Megi and Chris knew they wanted to have barbecue on the menu for the reception, so they filled the industrial venue space with farm tables, lush white flowers, and lots of candles to create a relaxed vibe. Because of all the greenery and natural elements they used, it was easy to forget that this wedding took place in the heart of the city! The bride, in a lace Ersa Atelier mermaid gown and jaw-dropping Valentino slingbacks, added a touch of boho with a bold flower crown and loose waves. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in neutral The Reformation gowns and simple flower crowns. Photographer Amber Gress captured every beautiful and stylish moment in such detail that we just can’t get enough of these photos!
The Couple:
Megi and Chris
The Wedding:
501 Union, Brooklyn, New York
We knew we wanted someone we were close to, to marry us. We also loved the idea of having that person be Chris‘ father. This way, both of the fathers got to play a major part in our wedding. It was really special having him officiate the wedding.
We wanted our wedding to incorporate an outdoor BBQ, but in Brooklyn! We had very natural looking flowers and details, farm style table, served BBQ and Ice Cream sandwiches. Our main style of music was Reggae and we our signature drink was a Dark and Stormy.
