With a mix of classic Southwestern and Moroccan styles set in the middle of the Arizona desert, The Country Club at DC Ranch was the most unexpected yet perfect location for Annie and Michael’s wedding! The couple, who had to find a new venue just months before their big day, created a timeless and romantic feel with a black, white, burgundy, and blush color palette that echoed from the stunning rose bouquets and ceremony arbor created by Garden Gate Flowers to the banquet tables covered in elegant lace from La Tavola Linen to the bridesmaids’ classic White by Vera Wang dresses. The bride’s Grace Kelly inspired Demetrios wedding gown and the groom’s classic black tuxedo from Men’s Wearhouse harkened to the glamorous days of Old Hollywood, and were visually stunning against the desert landscape. Photographer Eastlyn Bright‘s vintage style and creative eye were the perfect combination for capturing this heartfelt Arizona wedding!

The most important aspect of wedding planning was making my vision come to life. I wanted a romantic, emotional, and intimate wedding that was timeless yet incredibly glamorous. I did everything in my power to make that feeling come to life in my own unique “Annie” way.

My style inspiration was an Audrey Hepburn meets Grace Kelly look. I knew almost immediately that I wanted a long-sleeved beaded dress — something simple yet classic. I finished off the look with pearl stud earrings, and it was just the right touch of sparkle I had envisioned. The bridal party wore dark wine gowns with a satin waist to compliment my dress, and the groomsmen wore classy black tuxedos.
The most memorable part of the day was being together for our first look. His sweet and genuine tears and our embrace in such a moment made for some of my favorite photos of the day. Also, whispering I love you to each other during our first dance under the stars was a moment I’ll remember until I’m old and gray.
We had actually chosen a different venue, which fell through a few months prior to our wedding due to renovations on their property. We were incredibly bummed. Needless to say, we were extra selective when seeking out a new venue. The second I laid eyes on the courtyard reception at DC Ranch, I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Everything was perfect!
